What to do if your 3-year-old child has toothache

Children's resistance is relatively weak, so if they are sick, they generally do not take medicine if possible. Toothache is also a common symptom among children. For very young children, it can be treated without medication. Some folk remedies can also stop toothache, such as cold compress, salt water, iodine, garlic pain relief, massage, clove pain relief, and important prescription therapy. These are all effective ways to treat toothache!

Cold compress

Apply a cold, wet towel or ice pack or ice cubes to the cheek near the toothache area. Apply for about 15 minutes each time, 3 to 4 times a day. The cold pack has a sedative and analgesic effect and can effectively relieve tooth pain.

Salt water

Salt water can relieve toothache, and salt water can reduce inflammation and kill bacteria. Take 1 spoon of salt and half a cup of boiling water, stir to dissolve it, wait until it cools down, rinse your mouth frequently, which can often relieve immediate pain. Because salt water can not only remove food debris remaining in the mouth, but also has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal and detoxifying effects, it can relieve toothache.

Dip in iodine

Toothache in children is mostly caused by tooth decay and worm holes. After cleaning the mouth, if there is stinging pain due to cold water, use a glass or commercial cleaning machine to clean the area around the tooth decay and the worm holes, and then use a cotton swab dipped in iodine to penetrate the tooth decay holes to relieve the toothache.

Garlic for pain relief

For pain caused by tooth decay or tooth allergies caused by tooth decay, you should first avoid eating cold, hot, sour, sweet and other foods. Stuff a cotton ball dipped in sodium fluoride toothpaste into the cavity of the tooth, or you can stuff crushed garlic into it, which can effectively relieve pain.

massage

Take a piece of ice and rub the "V" area between the thumb and index finger bones, and gently press the ice on this area for 5-7 minutes. This friction method can interfere with the transmission of toothache nerve impulses. 60-90% of people who use this method find that toothache is relieved.

Lilac Pain Relief

Crush a lilac flower with your teeth and fill it into the gap between decayed teeth. The toothache will disappear in a few hours and will not occur for a long time. Lilac flowers have the effect of clearing heat and relieving pain. Filling it into the gap between decayed teeth to relieve the pain can ensure that the tooth will not hurt for a long time.

Chinese medicine prescription therapy

Put 30 grams each of plantain, houttuynia cordata, lianmianzhen, and fangxian, 50 grams of gypsum, 5 grams each of licorice and chamomile, into a casserole, add appropriate amount of water, and decoct it to prevent toothache for a long time.
