What to do if your feet itch

Itchy feet are a very common phenomenon, especially in the hot summer. A little sweat will make your feet itchy. Most of them are symptoms of athlete's foot. Some people will also experience peeling or blisters. If the condition is serious, you should seek medical attention in time. If you delay for too long, the phenomenon will become very serious and difficult to cure, and it will also affect your normal life and rest.

Itchy feet are mostly caused by fungi. Many people will feel particularly itchy at night, which seriously affects their sleep. Therefore, not only should timely treatment be sought, but also good foot care should be done in daily life, socks and shoes should be changed and washed frequently, and the spread of fungi should be cut off as much as possible. Only in this way can the symptoms of itchy feet be effectively relieved. Here I will introduce to you in detail some methods on how to deal with itchy feet, I hope it will be helpful to you.

1. Wash your feet and let them air dry: Soak a piece of gauze in alcohol, gently rub the itchy area, and then place the cloth on the affected area. When the gauze dries, it will take away moisture from the skin and help improve the infection. Or after taking a shower, carefully dry your toes with a towel or a hair dryer on low.

2. Sprinkle powder: You can spray some sterilization powder on your feet or in your shoes twice a day. Continue spraying for 2 weeks after symptoms disappear.

3. Change your socks frequently: If you have sweaty feet, bring a few pairs of socks with you to work for easy replacement. Try wearing acrylic socks. Acrylic socks are better at removing moisture from sweaty feet than cotton socks. It is best to choose white (because dyes are also irritants).

4. Wear breathable shoes: Artificial leather and plastic shoes are not breathable and provide an ideal growth environment for fungi. Wear shoes made of cotton or genuine leather.

5. Find the irritant that causes itchy feet: For itchy feet caused by contact dermatitis, you must find out the allergens in time, such as dyes on socks, glue in shoes, etc. Test yourself and if you doubt what you are wearing, try a different pair of shoes or socks. If you feel better after a few days, then you have found the real culprit.

6. Use antifungal ointment: Various antifungal ointments for tinea pedis have good bactericidal and antipruritic effects. Apply them morning and evening.

7. Anti-tinea foot bath: Mix 3 drops of patchouli essential oil, 2 drops of clove essential oil, and 10 ml of sweet almond oil. Put 38℃~40℃ hot water in the foot basin, pour in essential oil and stir evenly, then soak your feet in it for 10~15 minutes. It has the effects of killing bacteria and reducing inflammation, and improving the itching and pain caused by tinea pedis.

When your feet are itchy, try not to scratch them with your hands, especially when there are wounds on your hands. Otherwise, the bacteria on your feet will be transmitted to your hands, causing infection. In addition, eat more foods containing B vitamins, which can help recover from itchy feet and enhance the body's resistance.
