What causes vaginal flatulence during sex?

Many people don't particularly understand vaginal flatulence during sexual intercourse, which refers to the phenomenon of gas discharge from a woman's private parts during sexual intercourse. When this happens, it often affects the couple's life. There are many reasons for vaginal flatulence during sexual intercourse, and it usually occurs in women who have given birth. Such symptoms may be caused by some vaginal injuries. Let us learn more about this aspect below.

What causes vaginal flatulence during sex?

Vaginal flatulence often occurs in women who have given birth, because the normal vagina is tightly fitted together, and the vaginal opening is like two tightly closed doors. However, during delivery, as the fetus passes through the birth canal, the muscle tissue and fascia of the pelvic floor that supports the vaginal wall are broken, or overstretched and lose elasticity, resulting in vaginal relaxation. Generally speaking, the mother can recover during the postpartum period. However, for some women, especially those whose labor lasts too long, whose fetus is too large or whose pelvis is too narrow to deliver the fetus, vaginal surgery such as forceps delivery or vacuum extraction can cause severe damage to the pelvic floor tissue, making it difficult to recover. Due to repeated injuries to the birth canal, the vagina of multiparous women is naturally looser.

For pregnant women with weak constitutions, although the injuries are not serious, their recovery will be slower. In the above situation, when negative pressure is formed in the vagina (such as lying on your back, inhaling, etc.), the air enters the deepest part of the vagina (the vault). When you stand up or increase abdominal pressure, the air is discharged from the vagina, which makes "vaginal flatulence" easy to occur.

Under normal circumstances, during sexual intercourse, the vaginal walls become congested and the vagina tightly wraps around the penis, so there is almost no gas in the vagina. However, after entering middle age or old age, the vaginal walls become loose and cannot tightly wrap around the penis during sexual intercourse. There is a certain gap in the vagina, allowing air to enter and stay there.

Some other women with vaginal infections or vaginitis may also experience vaginal gas discharge, but for these patients, the airflow from the vagina is mostly weak, and the more important symptoms are increased leucorrhea, vulvar itching or vaginal discomfort. This is because the microorganisms that infect the vagina produce gas during the reproduction process and exist in the vagina. When the body position changes or the abdominal pressure increases, these gases are discharged from the vagina. Vaginal flatulence will naturally disappear after vaginitis is treated.

Obviously, once vaginal flatulence occurs, it will have a great impact on sexual life, and in the long run it will affect the sexual desire of both parties. So what should we do? The best and most direct solution is to correct it by exercising the contraction of the vaginal muscles and using feminine private products.

The exercise is as follows:

1. Lie on your back with your buttocks flat on your back and your legs suspended in the air. Close your legs, lift your body up and stretch it straight above your torso, leaning against your abdomen, hold for a while and then slowly lower it. Repeat this 20 times, once in the morning and once in the evening.

2. Lie on your back, relax your whole body as much as possible, overlap your hands on your lower abdomen, and do deep abdominal breathing. When you inhale, your abdomen will bulge, and when you exhale, your abdomen will sink. Repeat this 10-20 times, 2-3 times a day.

3. Lie on your back, cross your legs, squeeze your buttocks and thighs tightly, and gradually lift your anus with force. Hold for about 5 seconds, then return to the original position. You can gradually extend the time of lifting the anus. Repeat 10-20 times, 2-3 times a day.
