I believe many of my friends know a lot about chronic bronchitis. It is a respiratory disease, mostly caused by smoking. Facts show that the longer you smoke, the greater the incidence of chronic bronchitis. Smoking can cause great harm to the lungs, so smoking should be banned. How can we prevent the occurrence of this disease? What are the medical treatments? Is chronic bronchitis contagious? Chronic bronchitis is a physiological disease. It does not have the characteristics of infectious sources, transmission routes and susceptible populations, so it cannot be called an infectious disease. The sputum of chronic bronchitis can pose a threat to weak people, but this does not mean that the disease is contagious. Infection is an important factor in the occurrence and development of bronchitis, mainly viral and bacterial infections, with rhinovirus, myxovirus, adenovirus and respiratory syncytial virus being the most common. Bacterial infection may occur secondary to damage to the airway mucosa caused by viruses or mixed infections of viruses and mycoplasmas. The results of sputum culture showed that the most common bacteria were Haemophilus influenzae, Pneumococcus, Group A Streptococcus and Neisseria. Although infection is closely related to the onset of bronchitis, there is currently insufficient evidence to indicate that it is the primary cause. It is only considered to be a secondary infection of bronchitis and an important factor in aggravating the development of lesions. Bronchitis is a respiratory infection. The bacteria are expelled from the sputum coughed up by the patient, polluting the air. This is a threat to people with weak body resistance, as they are more likely to be infected with the bacteria. However, this does not mean that bronchitis is a contagious disease. Chronic stimulation from irritating smoke, dust and air pollution is often one of the triggering factors of chronic bronchitis. Through the above introduction, I believe you have a certain understanding of whether chronic bronchitis is contagious. In life, you must control your cigarette intake, exercise more, get more sun, drink more water, and people should follow nature, go to bed early and get up early to prevent the occurrence of chronic bronchitis. |
