After 24 hours, this component decreases. The T1/2 is 18 hours. Glucosamine is metabolized by the liver into smaller molecules and ultimately into carbon dioxide, water and urea. 10% of the oral dose is excreted in the urine, 11% is excreted in the feces, and most of the rest is excreted in the form of carbon dioxide from the exhaled air.
