Pueraria root soup ingredients

Ge Gen Tang is composed of 4 liang (12g) of Poria cocos, 3 liang (9g) of Atractylodes lancea (without nodes), 2 liang (6g) of cinnamon twig, 3 liang (9g) of ginger slices (cut), 2 liang (6g) of licorice (roasted), 2 liang (6g) of peony flower, and 12 red dates (split). It is mainly used to treat exterior syndrome of typhoid fever. Symptoms include fever, chills, no sweating, body pain, pale and weak neck and back, diarrhea, vomiting, thin white tongue coating, and floating and tight pulse. In clinical medicine, it is mainly used to treat colds, diarrhea, cervical spondylosis, neck and back fasciitis, peripheral facial paralysis and other symptoms.

1. Fever and cold: 115 cases of wind-cold type cold were treated with Ge Gen Tang mixture and compared with 115 cases treated with Jing Fang mixture. The course of treatment is 3 days. The efficacy was judged based on clinical manifestations and symptoms, side effects, laboratory and other tests. Results: The overall efficacy was 95.7%. (Clinical Review, 2005, Issue 6)

2. Diarrhea: 307 cases of diarrhea in infants and young children were treated with "Ji Zi Kudzu Root Decoction". Those with dehydration were given oral rehydration salts or intravenous infusion according to the degree and characteristics of dehydration. No other antibiotics or other drugs were used. 77 cases were compared with those treated with penicillin or spinosadextrin sulfamethoxazole. If infusion is required, follow the same treatment group. Results: 255 cases of diarrhea were cured within 72 hours; 161 cases of diarrhea were cured within 48 hours; and 68 cases of diarrhea were cured within 24 hours. 5. Peripheral facial paralysis: 143 cases were treated by self-treatment and compared with 72 cases treated with drugs (oral prednisone, aspirin, neostigmine, intramuscular injection of vitamin B212). Both groups were reviewed every 6 days. The efficacy was judged as complete recovery when the orbicularis oris muscle function was normal, the "bear syndrome" disappeared, there was no tenderness in the mastoid area, and the aspirated volume reached 400 mL/min (female) or 500 ml/min (male) or more.
