Liver fire is strong and it is easy to lose temper. Losing temper brings eight bad consequences

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that "improper joy and anger will damage the internal organs." People who have a bad temper and are easily angered often have the possibility of liver dysfunction or even organic disease, which is often attributed to "liver fire" in traditional Chinese medicine. "Liver fire" can easily make people angry, and anger is very harmful to the body. So how can we improve this situation? What are the bad effects of losing temper on the body? Let's find out below.

"Liver fire" can be divided into two types: "deficient" and "excessive". "Real fire" refers to the raging liver fire, which is mostly caused by long-term mental depression, emotional frustration, liver qi stagnation and discomfort, which turns into fire. In addition to impatience and anger, symptoms often include dizziness, headache, flushed face and eyes, bitter and dry mouth, or pain in the ribs on both sides of the chest, constipation, short and yellow urine, and poor sleep. "Deficiency fire" means that the liver's yang energy is normal, but the yin blood is deficient, causing the liver yang to be relatively hyperactive. This is often due to anger damaging the liver, qi stagnation turning into fire, and the heat damaging the yin blood of the liver and kidneys, or due to excessive sexual intercourse, liver and kidney yin deficiency due to old age, and hyperactivity of liver yang. In addition to symptoms similar to "real fire", there are also manifestations of yin deficiency such as soreness of waist and knees, heavy head and light feet.

How to improve the excessive liver fire

1. Regulate your emotions on your own

Emotions are closely related to "liver fire". Adverse emotional stimulation can cause liver damage, and liver damage can aggravate emotional imbalance. Therefore, if you want to fundamentally correct this situation, you must learn to regulate your emotions independently, treat the people and things around you with a tolerant and peaceful attitude, and actively respond to the adversities and difficulties in life.

2. Develop good living habits

Some people think that sleeping for 8 hours is enough, but in fact, the sleep time and quality are more important. According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, the liver works from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. the next morning. If you don't sleep during this time, it will cause too much workload, which will damage the liver over time.

3. Eat properly

Eat more protein foods such as eggs, milk, chicken, duck, fish, shrimp and lean meat, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins; beverages should be various fresh fruit juices, yogurt, corn juice, etc. are also good for the liver, and various alcoholic beverages should be drunk as little as possible or not.

Disadvantages of losing temper

1. Long spots

When you are angry, a lot of blood rushes to your head, so the oxygen in the blood decreases and the toxins increase. The toxins will stimulate the hair follicles, causing varying degrees of inflammation around the hair follicles, resulting in pigmentation problems.

2. Accelerated aging of brain cells

A large amount of blood rushes to the brain, which increases the pressure on the cerebral blood vessels. At this time, the blood contains the most toxins and the least oxygen, which is no less than a dose of "poison" to brain cells.

3. Gastric ulcer

Anger can cause sympathetic nerve excitement and directly act on the heart and blood vessels, reducing blood flow in the gastrointestinal tract, slowing peristalsis, and worsening appetite. In severe cases, it can even cause gastric ulcers.

4. Myocardial hypoxia

A large amount of blood rushes to the brain and face, which reduces the blood supply to the heart and causes myocardial hypoxia. In order to meet the needs of the body, the heart has to work twice as hard, so the heartbeat becomes more irregular and more deadly.

5. Damage to the liver

When you are angry, the human body will secrete a substance called "catecholamine", which acts on the central nervous system, causing blood sugar to rise, fatty acid decomposition to increase, and toxins in the blood and liver cells to increase accordingly.

6. Cause hyperthyroidism

Anger disrupts the endocrine system and increases the secretion of hormones by the thyroid gland, which can eventually cause hyperthyroidism.

7. Damage to the lungs

When you are emotionally impulsive, your breathing will become rapid and you may even hyperventilate. The alveoli keep expanding and have no time to contract, so they cannot get the proper relaxation and rest, which endangers the health of the lungs.

8. Damage to the immune system

When you are angry, your brain tells your body to produce cortisol, a hormone converted from cholesterol. If these substances accumulate too much in the body, they will hinder the functioning of immune cells and reduce the body's resistance.
