Common diseases in children

Common diseases in children

Parents all hope that their children can grow up without worries, but there are many diseases in life that will affect their physical health, so prevention and treatment are necessary. Do you know what are some of the most common diseases in children during their early childhood? Let’s learn about it together, and I hope every parent and friend can pay attention to it.

Only when we understand some of the diseases that children often suffer from can we do a better job of prevention and effectively reduce the harm caused by these diseases. I hope that every parent and friend can pay attention to the treatment and prevention of these diseases to ensure the health of their children.

1. Cough

Children's coughing is a protective respiratory reflex action of the human body. Coughing occurs when foreign objects, irritating gases, respiratory secretions, etc. stimulate the receptors in the respiratory mucosa. The impulses are transmitted to the medullary cough center through afferent nerve fibers, causing coughing.

2. Picky eating

Young children are in the stage of growth and development. Their nutritional status will directly affect their growth. If young children are picky eaters, malnutrition will occur. Picky eating refers to children being picky about their food or only eating a few foods that they like or are accustomed to. Picky eating is a bad eating habit that is not conducive to nutritional intake or healthy development. Because children are not interested in food and eat less, or only pick the food they like, they may lose weight, have a sallow complexion, dry skin, and even develop anemia, hypoglycemia, low body temperature, slow pulse, low blood pressure, and malnutrition.

3. Tooth decay

Dental caries, commonly known as tooth decay, begins to develop at the crown of the tooth. If not treated in time, the lesions continue to develop, forming cavities, and eventually the crown of the tooth is completely destroyed and disappears. Untreated cavities will not heal on their own and will eventually lead to tooth loss.

In fact, the immune ability of young children is relatively low during their growth process, so if they are not careful, they will be easily affected by this disease.

It causes great harm to their physical health, so I hope everyone can pay more attention to the physical health of young children and do a good job in preventing various diseases.
