In daily life, people often suffer fractures in the hand and foot joints. Because these two joints are used more frequently, accidents occur more frequently. But in fact, the human lumbar vertebrae are also a very fragile key, and if the lumbar vertebrae are fractured, it is much more serious than fractures of the hand and foot joints, because it will affect a person's overall mobility. So how do you biopsy a lumbar fracture? Examination items: X-ray, blood routine test 1. X-ray examination Anyone suspected of having a fracture should undergo routine X-ray examination, which can show incomplete fractures, deep fractures, intra-articular fractures and small avulsion fractures that are difficult to detect clinically. Even if a fracture is obvious clinically, X-ray examination is necessary to understand the type and specific circumstances of the fracture, which is of guiding significance for treatment. X-rays should include frontal and lateral views, and must include adjacent joints. Sometimes additional oblique, tangential or corresponding parts of the healthy side are required. Conventional X-ray examination: It is better for diagnosing trauma or diseases of denser tissues such as bones, but it has almost no diagnostic significance for the diagnosis of soft tissue diseases. Simply put, if there is a problem with the bones, we can choose ordinary X-ray examination to judge, but it is not a suitable choice for examining muscle and soft tissue. 2. CT examination CT examination can be performed for patients whose fractures are unclear but cannot be ruled out, those whose spinal fractures may compress the spinal nerve roots, and those with complex fractures. Three-dimensional CT reconstruction can classify fractures more intuitively and conveniently, which is very helpful in selecting treatment options and is currently commonly used in clinical practice. 3. MRI Although it is not as good as CT scan in showing fracture lines, it has unique advantages in showing spinal nerve root and soft tissue injuries. It is now widely used in the examination of spinal fractures. In general, X-ray examinations after trauma can reveal relatively obvious fractures. For patients who are highly suspected of having fractures clinically but have negative X-rays, a CT scan is necessary to confirm the diagnosis. Sometimes, even a negative CT scan cannot completely rule out fractures, so an MRI scan is necessary, especially when bone contusion or soft tissue injury is suspected, an MRI scan is even more justifiable. The patient's doctor should choose the appropriate examination method based on the patient's injuries, and the injured and their families should actively cooperate and follow the doctor's arrangements for appropriate examinations. |
