1. Wet compress

For recipe 1, take 10 grams each of Evodia rutaecarpa, black aconite, cinnamon, dried ginger, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Atractylodes lancea, Notopterygium wilfordii, Angelica dahurica, Clematis chinensis, Earthworm, Whole worm, and borneol, 6 grams of Asarum, 15 grams of safflower, 9 grams of soapberry, and 30 grams of Sichuan pepper. Dry the above medicines, grind them into fine powder, sieve them, take ginger juice or wine to make a paste and apply it to the affected area. This prescription is good at treating joint pain caused by wind, cold and dampness.

Recipe 2: Take an appropriate amount of loofah seeds, grind them into fine powder, mix them with vinegar to make a paste, and apply them to the Mingmen acupoint (between the two kidneys on the back, below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra, opposite to the navel), cover it with plastic film and gauze, and secure it with adhesive tape. Change the dressing once a day. This prescription is suitable for low back pain caused by damp heat.

2. Ironing

Take equal amounts of Nepeta, Saposhnikovia, Gentiana macrophylla, cloves, cinnamon, frankincense, myrrh and pepper, and grind them into fine powder. During treatment, sprinkle the powder on the affected skin and cover the powder with 2 to 3 pieces of white cloth (soaked in vinegar). Then use a 20 ml syringe to draw up 95% alcohol and spray it on the white cloth. Then light it and continue spraying alcohol. When the patient feels hot, blow it out and light it again after it cools down a little (don't make it too hot when ironing for the first time. Be careful to prevent burns when using this method). Repeat 4 to 5 times to complete one treatment. It can usually be done every other day or every day. One course of treatment is 10 days, stop for 5 days, and continue for the next course. This prescription is suitable for acute and chronic lumbar sprain and chronic lumbar strain. It can also be used in the functional recovery stage of joint sprains, muscular rheumatism, fractures and dislocations.

3. Medicinal wine tapping method

Take equal parts of mistletoe, eucommia bark, cibotium bark, radix strychnifoliae, sycamore flowers, costusroot, angelica, corydalis, frankincense and myrrh, soak them in 45-70 degree white wine, stir every day and use after half a month. When using, dip the affected area in medicated wine and pat the waist. Take 1 to 2 times a day, each time for 15 minutes. This prescription has a good effect on traumatic low back pain, lumbar muscle strain, and low back pain caused by wind, cold and dampness.

4. Plaster

Take analgesic ointment, musk wind-chasing ointment, etc. Wash and dry the affected skin before use, and apply it to the affected area. The area of the patch slightly exceeds the affected area. If it is a solid plaster, such as dog skin plaster, all-purpose plaster, injury and rheumatism plaster, etc., bake it first, melt it and then apply it to the affected area. Some ointments, such as Wenjingtongluo ointment, Shujinghuoluo ointment, Stretching tendons ointment and other pastes, are applied directly to the skin when used, until the painful skin is no longer visible, then apply gauze and bandage it, and change it regularly according to the instructions or doctor's orders.
