What diseases can Ginseng Shunqi Powder treat?

What diseases can Ginseng Shunqi Powder treat?

Among all Chinese medicinal herbs, ginseng is a relatively rare but very powerful herb. It generally grows in the northern regions of my country, most of the time in deep mountains and forests. There is also a saying among the people that ginseng can walk and has certain human characteristics. Ginseng can be used to make many medicines, which play a huge role in treating diseases in traditional Chinese medicine. What diseases does Ginseng Shunqi Powder mainly treat?

Function and indications

It is used to treat wind-deficiency and weak qi in men and women, disharmony between the blood and the defensive system, pain in the limbs, heaviness in the body, dizziness, stiffness in the shoulders and back, cold and numb hands and feet, hemiplegia, deviated mouth and eyes, sputum and slurred speech; or disharmony between the spleen and stomach, stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, fullness in the chest and diaphragm, fatigue and lack of strength, cholera cramps, vomiting and diarrhea, and is suitable for taking before and after pregnancy.

Ginseng (scientific name: Panax ginseng, also known as Asian ginseng, and locally known as "bangchui" in Northeast China) is a fleshy root that can be used for medicinal purposes. Ginseng belongs to the Araliaceae family and grows mainly in East Asia, especially in cold regions. Ginseng is a common medicinal ingredient in Asia, and American ginseng is also widely used in North and Central America. Various ginseng slices and extract health products can be found in many herbal medicine shops and supermarkets. They are used for post-recovery, enhancing physical strength, regulating hormones, lowering blood sugar and controlling blood pressure, controlling liver index and liver function health, etc. Saponins contained in ginseng roots are its active ingredients. The wild ginseng from China's Changbai Mountain has a high content of saponins, but they are difficult to obtain and are expensive.

The reason why ginseng is rare and precious is mainly due to its medicinal value. In an early medical book "Shennong's Herbal Classic", it was believed that ginseng has the effects of "replenishing the five internal organs, calming the spirit, settling the soul, stopping panic, removing evil spirits, making people happy and improving intelligence tomorrow", and "long-term use can make the body light and prolong life". Li Shizhen also highly praised ginseng in "Compendium of Materia Medica", believing that it can "cure all deficiency syndromes in men and women." For thousands of years, ginseng has been listed as a "top-grade" Chinese herbal medicine. In addition, ginseng has a unique shape, especially the wild old mountain ginseng, which often has a human shape, that is, it has a head (rhizome, commonly known as reed head), body (tap root), shoulders (upper part of the root), legs (root), and whiskers (fibrous roots). This has created all kinds of mystery, the so-called "ginseng spirit" and "ginseng doll", and many touching stories have been compiled.

It is true that ginseng can strengthen the body and prolong life. Modern medical research and laboratory analysis have shown that ginseng contains a chemical substance called ginsenoside, which has obvious effects on regulating the human central nervous system, strengthening the heart, resisting fatigue, and regulating substance metabolism, so it is very effective in treating the nervous system. It has a good therapeutic effect on various diseases of the cardiovascular system, endocrine system and reproductive system.

Although ginseng is a very good medicinal material, it also has certain taboos. Ginseng must not be taken indiscriminately. Ginseng is a qi-tonifying medicine. If there are no symptoms of qi deficiency, taking it casually may cause side effects. Especially for some people with stronger bodies, there is no need to eat ginseng for tonic. After taking ginseng, you should pay more attention to your diet and never eat foods such as radish, otherwise the two will counteract each other and the effect of ginseng will disappear.
