What are the differences between false labor and uterine bulge?

False labor is a condition that women experience during pregnancy, and it mainly occurs before the pregnant woman is about to give birth, and the feeling is more intense. False labor can cause the uterus of a pregnant woman to contract, but it will not open the uterine opening and will not allow the baby to be born, so it is called false labor. False labor can also cause the pregnant woman's abdomen to bulge like a drum, which needs to be distinguished. Let’s take a look at the differences between false labor and uterine bulge.

The difference between false labor and bulging : 1. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, as the enlarged uterus begins to descend and the descent of the fetal head increases the pressure on the pelvis, pregnant women often feel their abdomen falling and their backs cannot be straightened. Starting from the 28th week of pregnancy, false labor contractions will often occur in the abdomen. If a pregnant woman stands or sits in the same posture for a long time, she will feel her abdomen hardening from time to time. This is called false labor.

2. A few weeks before delivery, the uterine muscles are more sensitive and irregular uterine contractions will occur, which are short-lived, weak, or limited to the lower part of the uterus. It stops after several hours and cannot cause the cervix to open, so it is not labor and is called false labor. 3. Before delivery , false labor will become more and more frequent due to the traction stimulation of the lower part of the uterus caused by the descending fetal head.

The fetus begins to move from about the 8th week, and the spine also begins to make subtle movements. The mother cannot perceive the fetal movement at this time. Since the end of 16 weeks, the fully developed limbs will begin to move actively. Usually the mother can feel the fetal movement at this time, but some people may still not know what it feels like. The fetus's punching, kicking, turning and other movements can not only be felt but also seen. As the fetus grows, fetal movements are most noticeable between 28 and 32 weeks. After 32 weeks, the fetus gradually occupies the space in the uterus and its movement is significantly restricted. Although restrained, the fetus will occasionally deliver a powerful blow. When the baby's head hits the muscles of the pelvic floor, you will feel a sudden blow. Change of position and emotional response In addition to exercising and coordinating growing muscles, the fetus may move for other reasons. For example, your baby may be changing positions or moving because the way you sit or stand is uncomfortable for her. Maybe she just wanted to change her position so that she could enjoy sucking her fingers more easily. Everyone should understand the difference between false labor and bulging. The phenomenon of fetal movement should be very common. Fetal movement will occur at a certain stage of pregnancy, and false labor will occur in the later stages of pregnancy. Everyone needs to judge whether it is a real labor or a false labor to be able to judge whether it is time for delivery.
