The secret recipe left by the old Chinese doctor for his family

Wang Xinzhi, a nationally renowned traditional Chinese medicine doctor, an expert with special government allowance from the State Council, and chief physician of the Department of Neurology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, has some very useful tips for family members. Today, in response to the requests of many fans, Professor Wang Xinzhi will make the second batch of conditioning prescriptions for family members and patients public to everyone!

1. Chronic cough: Breathe from the abdomen

When reading martial arts novels or watching TV dramas, there is always such a plot: when a master teaches his apprentice martial arts, he always tells them that the qi should be "sunk into the dantian". "Qi sinking into Dantian" seems very mysterious, but in fact, to put it simply, it means breathing with the abdomen. When we inhale, the part of the abdomen that bulges is the Dantian.

Once, my wife was coughing all day long, and tears welled up in her eyes. She coughed for a week straight, and we tried many methods but the cough was not relieved. Later, I thought of the method of sinking Qi into Dantian and taught her:

Specific approach

① You can perform abdominal breathing in a variety of ways, such as lying, sitting, or standing;

②Put your hands on your lower abdomen, straighten your abdomen when you inhale, and tighten your abdomen when you exhale;

③ When exhaling, purse your lips into a whistle shape to prolong the exhalation time. The time for inhalation is the same as the normal breathing time, but the time for exhalation should be 2 to 3 times the normal breathing time.

At the beginning, my wife was not used to it, but after practicing it several times, she really learned it. She had been practicing for less than half an hour when she stopped coughing. I just feel uncomfortable in my throat occasionally and have the urge to cough, but it passes if I endure it. Two days later, my lover no longer had a cough.

2. Weight loss: two bowls of porridge

Once I met a 36-year-old middle-aged man who was not tall, with a round head, thick neck and a bulging belly. The first time I saw him, I said, "You have a lot of problems. Go to the hospital for a checkup. Your blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood lipids must be high. You may even have fatty liver."

The man still didn't quite believe it, and touched his head and said, "Doctor, I'm fine, and I don't feel any discomfort. Besides, blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood lipids are all things inside the body. How can you tell from such a distance?"

However, after the test results came out that afternoon, the man came to me convinced:

"Doctor, you are right! I never thought I had so many problems. What do you think I should do?"

Without even thinking, I said two words: "Lose weight!"

Everyone knows that fat people are more damp and obese people have more phlegm. Where does moisture come from? The spleen is responsible for transporting and transforming water and moisture, and is the hub of body fluid metabolism. Once the spleen becomes weak and fails to transport and transform food, phlegm and dampness will be produced. Therefore, Chinese medicine has always said that "the spleen is the source of phlegm." Spleen deficiency can also cause insufficient qi and blood, so fat people often have pale skin but lack of luster.

what to do?

"Kinetic energy generates yang", so if you exercise more often, you can boost the yang energy of the spleen and stomach, and phlegm and dampness will naturally be reduced.

I’d like to introduce two porridges for clearing away heat and removing dampness. If you drink these two porridges more often, your “three highs” will gradually decrease.

For the Barley and Hawthorn Porridge, select 100 grams of barley and boil it in appropriate amount of water. Then select 6 hawthorns, wash them, remove the cores, cut them into pieces, put them into the porridge and simmer for 5 minutes until cooked. Drink a small bowl every morning and evening. This porridge can eliminate accumulation and fatigue, reduce fat and promote dampness, and is very suitable for people with "three highs".

For winter melon porridge, select 100 grams of fresh winter melon or 15 grams of winter melon seeds, 100 grams of rice, and 50 grams of raw coix seeds. When making this porridge, if you use fresh winter melon, just wash off the white frost on the skin, do not cut the skin. When cooking the soup, cut the winter melon with the skin into thin slices, wash the rice, add appropriate amount of water and cook it into porridge. You can add a little salt according to your taste. This porridge has the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying, promoting dampness and reducing swelling. Drink a small bowl of it every day at noon or in the evening for a month or so, and you will see the effect.

3. Women’s blood tonic: Ginseng Yangrong Pills are the first choice

Many women experience chest tightness and shortness of breath, palpitations, cold and weak limbs, fatigue, pale complexion, dizziness, sweating, and scanty menstruation when they enter middle age or old age. These symptoms are generally caused by deficiency of both Qi and blood.

I have a relative who was 62 years old and had an operation for uterine cancer. After she was discharged from the hospital and went home, when I went to visit her, I found that her complexion was pale and as white as paper. I told her that she was anemic and needed to replenish her blood. She added, "I feel dizzy and weak all over." I told her, "Your condition is that your Qi and blood are both deficient. Just take Ginseng Yangrong Pills every morning and evening."

This medicine can both replenish qi and produce blood, and the effect is quite good. My relative took it for two months and his complexion became rosy, and his fatigue and dizziness disappeared.

Menopause is an important cause of deficiency of both Qi and blood. For some women, menopause is smooth and passes easily. Some are different, with very strong reactions, including palpitations, chest tightness, anxiety, depression, irritability, insomnia, memory loss and other symptoms. He is usually forgetful and often quarrels with his family. In addition, my skin lost its luster, wrinkles suddenly increased a lot, and even my mind became unfocused.

Such women should take ginseng nourishing pills regularly. It is a very famous tonic prescription in traditional Chinese medicine, which has the effects of "replenishing qi and blood, nourishing the heart and calming the mind".

In addition, I recommend a dietary therapy that can replenish both Qi and blood:

Specific approach

Choose 30 grams each of longan and lily. Wash the longan and lily, put them in 200 ml of water, and then heat them over high heat until boiling. Then change to low heat and simmer for another four or five minutes before eating, once in the morning and once in the evening. When eating, eat both the "meat" and the soup together.

4. Stiff neck: Roll it with a rolling pin

I was having dinner with a few friends once, and one of them said, "I've been suffering from a stiff neck these past two days."

I hurriedly asked the waiter to warm their chef's rolling pin over the fire and bring it to me while it was still hot.

The rolling pin came, and I asked my friend to lower his head, and then I hit his neck with the rolling pin more than ten times like rolling noodles. My friend immediately felt his neck was much more comfortable and could be turned more flexibly.

In fact, stiff neck is mainly related to our long hours of desk work every day. In addition, traditional Chinese medicine believes that "Qi is the commander of blood". When Qi is unable to promote blood circulation, the neck being exposed to wind and cold can also cause stiff neck. Nighttime is when the Yang energy gradually declines and the Yin energy gradually increases. If you do not avoid wind and cold at this time, you will easily be invaded by external evils, which will cause blockage of the blood vessels and lead to stiff neck.

Whether it is an occasional or frequent stiff neck, the rolling pin method is effective.

Specific approach

①Put the rolling pin on the fire to heat it up. Be careful not to make the fire too strong and keep turning the rolling pin to avoid it from getting burned.

② After the rolling pin is heated, let the patient sit up straight or lie prone on the bed with his head lowered. The family member should use the heated rolling pin to gently roll the neck until the neck skin becomes hot and red. Be careful not to cause blisters.

This method can not only cure stiff neck, but is also very effective in treating cervical spondylosis and shoulder and back pain. You can also practice the "gecko wall climbing technique" every day, which can also treat stiff neck and periarthritis of the shoulder.

<<:  It replenishes kidney qi and treats gynecological diseases, and is loved by both men and women

>>:  Keep tapping your arms for half a month, and the result will make you cry like crazy!
