What is sensorineural hearing loss? How to treat it?

Sensorineural hearing loss refers to a disease in which the auditory nerve in the inner ear and the auditory center of the brain are damaged, causing hearing loss or even hearing loss, often accompanied by tinnitus. So how to treat sensorineural hearing loss?

Sensorineural hearing loss

The main clinical manifestations of sensorineural hearing loss are sudden or gradual hearing loss, or accompanied by tinnitus, dizziness, headache and other symptoms. Based on the pure tone audiometry test, the degree of hearing loss can be divided into mild deafness, moderate deafness, moderately severe deafness, severe deafness, and profound deafness. The incidence of this disease has been gradually increasing in recent years, seriously affecting normal work and life.

Treatment

1. Middle ear analysis, pure tone audiometry and tinnitus matching detection:

Patients undergoing a first visit should first undergo examinations such as middle ear analysis, pure tone audiometry, and tinnitus matching to clarify the diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment.

2. Treatment with Chinese herbal medicines:

Applying the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment based on traditional Chinese medicine, we combine systemic syndrome differentiation with local syndrome differentiation, and develop individualized Chinese herbal medicine prescriptions and medicines suitable for each patient based on their different syndrome differentiation types.

3. Chinese medicine acupoint application treatment:

Chinese medicine plaster is a treatment method that uses Chinese herbal medicine preparations, combined with syndrome differentiation and treatment, and applies them to local acupuncture points. Based on the TCM etiology and pathology of sensorineural deafness and tinnitus, our department has developed two types of medicinal plasters, Ear Disease No. 1 and Ear Disease No. 2, which are applied to the Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Yongquan and other acupoints. Clinical observations have shown that the plasters have stable therapeutic effects and few side effects.

4. Acupuncture and electroacupuncture treatment:

We leverage the therapeutic features of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture for neurological diseases and use acupuncture to treat neurological deafness and tinnitus. After years of clinical practice and analysis and summary, the therapeutic effect is significant.

5. Acoustic information therapy:

The sound information therapy device is based on in-depth research on acoustics and human medical theories, according to the method of combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and the principle of combining syndrome differentiation with disease differentiation. It uses quantized sound to directly stimulate and regulate the human auditory system, and produces a series of physiological effects on the central nervous system and autonomic nervous system, directly "sound to the diseased area" to achieve the purpose of treating deafness and tinnitus.
