Huoshan County is located in the core area of Dabie Mountain area, where animal and plant resources are rich. There are currently three types of Dendrobium officinale, namely Huoshan rice Dendrobium, Huoshan County Huoshan officinale Dendrobium and Huoshan County copper-skin Dendrobium. Below I will introduce to you the three types of Dendrobium officinale in the Baihuyuan Dendrobium officinale plantation. Huoshan Mihu is a more precious type of Dendrobium officinale produced in Huoshan County. It has a long growth cycle and is generally harvested every 4 years. It is also known as the first of a hundred hu, and has been included in the royal offerings from ancient times to the present. The wild Huoshan rice huohu is usually no more than 3 cm long and is very short. It is a pile of millet grains, which is called Huoshan rice huohu. Nowadays, the artificially cultivated Huoshan rice huohu can grow to about 10 cm in height due to the good growth environment and sufficient nutrients. When picking Huoshan Mihu, the roots are dug up together and processed into dragon-headed and phoenix-tailed Tiepi Fengdou with the roots. The Huoshan Dendrobium officinale in Huoshan County is the most northern-growing of the Huoshan Dendrobium. Of course, it is not widespread anymore after passing the Dabie Mountains to the north. The winters here are long and cold, and the beneficial substances metabolized by Dendrobium officinale are rich and colorful. Therefore, the quality of Huoshan Dendrobium officinale produced here is better than that of other growing areas. The copper-skin Dendrobium from Huoshan County has a relatively poor taste, so it has low market recognition and fewer people are planting it now. However, the nutritional value of the copper-skin is very high, and its flowering period and taste are very similar to those of the Huoshan Dendrobium. The three types of Dendrobium officinale produced in Huoshan County are easy to distinguish in appearance, but it is more difficult to distinguish after being processed into Dendrobium officinale. Generally, Huoshan rice Dendrobium officinale tastes a little bitter when chewed raw, with little residue and collagen. Huoshan County white Dendrobium officinale tastes sweet when chewed raw, with little residue and thick collagen. Huoshan County copper Dendrobium officinale tastes a little bitter when chewed raw, with glue and more residue. The picture below shows Liu Jiangang introducing in detail to reporters how to identify Huoshan Dendrobium officinale. |
