What is the best and fastest way to cure athlete's foot?

Many male friends have athlete's foot, which is caused by fungus on the feet. It is easy to multiply in a warm and humid environment. To cure athlete's foot, you must protect your feet well. You can soak your feet in salt water and apply some medicine to cure athlete's foot.

1. Protect your feet

Athlete's foot may suddenly become infected and may cause cracking of the skin, pus discharge and intermittent burning sensation. When you are experiencing this acute stage, you should protect your feet. Don't cover your feet with anything, and give them plenty of rest, even if it means staying home or taking a break from housework. While this inflammation itself is not dangerous, it can worsen and lead to a bacterial infection if left untreated.

2. Soak in salt water solution

Prepare a saline solution by adding 2 teaspoons of salt to every 470 ml of warm water. Soak your feet in this mixture for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. Repeat until the condition improves. The saline solution helps provide an environment that is not suitable for mold growth and reduces excessive sweating. Furthermore, saline softens the infected skin, allowing the antifungal drug to penetrate deeper and be more effective.

3. Apply medicine on the affected area

You can buy athlete's foot medicine at the pharmacy. According to dermatologists, the three main types of athlete's foot medications include chlorella and fatty acids. Apply 2 to 3 times per person, gently apply to the part covered by the infection, and gently rub the medicine in. Continue this for four weeks (or two if your condition improves).

4. Treating the interdigital area

Infections between the toes can be treated with aluminum chloride solution. This clear liquid not only kills fungi, but also helps dry out the affected area and prevents fungus from returning. Ask your pharmacist to prepare a 25% aluminum chloride solution (made with water). Use a cotton swab to dip this solution and apply it between your fingers, 2-3 times a day. Continue this process for two weeks to clear the infected area.
