Self-massage for frozen shoulder: how to make it effective

If the joint movement disorder of the patient with frozen shoulder only affects one side, the patient can use the healthy upper limb to perform self-massage on the affected side. Before massage, apply local heat to the affected shoulder joint. If you do self-massage once a day for 1 to 2 months, you will see better results. Pay attention to the following points when massaging:

Massage prescription

2. Bend your index, middle and ring fingers, and use your fingertips to massage various parts of the back of the shoulder joint for 3 to 5 minutes, then press the local painful points with your fingers for 1 minute.

3. Use the fingers of the healthy side to knead the upper arm muscles of the affected upper limb, from bottom to top to the shoulder, for 3 to 5 minutes. The same massage can also be performed when the affected shoulder is abducted, while moving the shoulder joint in all directions.

4. Stretch out your palm and rub the muscles from the affected shoulder to the upper arm from top to bottom for 3 to 5 minutes. Gently pat the areas on the back of the shoulders that cannot be reached by massage.
