Postoperative care and diet after gastrostomy

Postoperative care and diet after gastrostomy

Kidney disease is also a very common disease nowadays. This is related to the changes in people’s living habits and quality of life. For example, excessive sugar intake, irregular diet, etc. have greatly increased the number of people suffering from diabetes and uremia. The treatment of most kidney diseases cannot be separated from dialysis, which is the subject of this article, renal dialysis fistula, some precautions, etc. The editor will introduce it in detail below.

Introduction to Renal Dialysis Fistula

Renal dialysis fistula surgery is the use of vascular surgery technology to artificially create a short circuit between the artery and vein, providing a long-term and effective vascular access for extracorporeal circulation for hemodialysis. Direct anastomosis between the distal radial artery and the cephalic vein in the forearm is the preferred long-term vascular access for dialysis patients. We call it "standard fistula" or "primary vascular access." Sometimes, no suitable autologous blood vessels can be found in both forearms for anastomosis, and alternative blood vessels are used to establish a transplanted vascular fistula, which is also called "secondary vascular access."

Transplant vascular fistula is a vascular pathway established by using other blood vessels to "bridge" between arteries and veins that are far apart. The blood vessels commonly used for transplantation are autologous blood vessels and artificial blood vessels.

Kidney dialysis

Renal dialysis is a process in which the kidneys filter the blood to remove waste products. If the kidneys fail, waste products accumulate in the body and eventually become poisonous. Renal dialysis is also called artificial kidney, and some people call it hemodialysis (abbreviated as hemodialysis) or dialysis. Hemodialysis is called Hemodia1ysis in English. Hemo refers to blood, and dia1ysis comes from Greek, meaning the release of certain substances. It means dialysis in English. It is a type of blood purification technology. Most of the 500,000 patients worldwide who rely on dialysis to sustain their lives are on hemodialysis. Hemodialysis is of certain significance in alleviating patients' symptoms and prolonging their survival. Therefore, you must insist on doing dialysis. You can use some medicines to deal with adverse reactions. Please follow the doctor's advice.
