What are the symptoms of Yin deficiency and internal heat?

Yin deficiency and internal heat is very common in traditional Chinese medicine. It is a fever disease. The symptoms of Yin deficiency and internal heat are relatively obvious. The patient's hands and feet will have fever. For women, Yin deficiency and internal heat may also cause symptoms such as menstrual disorders and poor mental state.

1. Yin deficiency type

The five hearts are hot and the heat is severe in the afternoon. The hands often want to hold cold objects. When sleeping, the hands and feet like to stretch out of the quilt. There are bone steaming and hot flashes, red cheeks and night sweats, dry mouth and throat, red tongue with little coating, etc. Yin deficiency type of fever in the five hearts is the most common type, which is generally seen in people with yin deficiency of the lungs, liver, and kidneys. Among them, the five-heart fever caused by lung yin deficiency, in addition to the above symptoms, is also accompanied by nasal congestion, dry cough and shortness of breath, little sputum and often blood in the sputum; the five-heart fever caused by liver yin deficiency is accompanied by insomnia, fatigue, dry eyes, etc.; the five-heart fever caused by kidney yin deficiency is accompanied by tinnitus, soreness of waist and knees, etc.

2. Fire depression type

Heat in the five hearts, chest tightness, bad breath, bleeding gums, fatigue in the limbs, yellow urine, dry stool, red tongue with yellow coating, etc. It is mostly due to improper diet, which leads to the stagnation of stomach yang and inability to discharge it, resulting in fever in the five hearts.

3. Blood deficiency type

In the afternoon, you feel hot in all five parts of your body, which will get worse with a little work, accompanied by symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite, laziness, palpitations, dizziness, and pale complexion. It is generally related to liver and spleen deficiency and insufficient qi and blood. The spleen is the foundation of acquired constitution, the source of Qi and blood production, and controls blood throughout the body. The liver is the organ that stores blood and regulates blood supply throughout the body. The liver and spleen are damaged, and their functions of producing, regulating and storing blood are impaired, resulting in blood deficiency. Blood deficiency cannot control Yang, leading to fever in the five hearts.

4. Feeling hot

People with yin deficiency and internal heat often feel a burning sensation in their bodies, their faces easily turn red, they like to eat cold drinks, do not like to cover themselves with quilts in summer, and especially like the cool feeling. According to traditional Chinese medicine, this is due to the loss of yin fluid in the body, which makes water unable to eliminate fire, thus leading to excessive internal heat.
