What is the medicinal value of mugwort?

I have never seen mugwort, but I have often heard of it. I think if Ai Ye was a person, he must have had an extraordinary experience. Just like its name - Artemisia annua, it is full of the bitterness of life. Artemisia argyi is the dried leaves of Artemisia argyi, a plant of the Asteraceae family. Cultivated or wild. It is produced in most parts of the country. The original plant grew on the edge of wasteland forest. It likes warm and humid climate, is drought- and shade-tolerant, and grows best in deep, fertile loam rich in humus. Has extraordinary medicinal value:

1. Mugwort can inhibit the relaxation of guinea pig smooth muscles. Systemic pharmacology studies on the antiasthmatic active ingredients of Artemisia argyi oil have shown that the chemical structures of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes are related to its antiasthmatic effect.

2. Oral administration or intraperitoneal injection of 0.25~0.5 mg/kg of mugwort oil has a significant antitussive effect.

3. Mugwort oil has an expectorant effect.

4. Mugwort oil has a choleretic effect. 2% Tween was used to make a suspension of mugwort oil (containing 25 microliters of mugwort oil per milliliter), which could increase the bile flow of rats (doses of 0.8 ml/100 g and 0.3 ml/100 g).

5. Mugwort oil has an inhibitory effect on isolated toad hearts and rabbit hearts, and can counteract the cardiotonic effect of isoproterenol.

6. Intraperitoneal injection of mugwort oil has a sedative effect on rabbits. Mugwort oil has no analgesic effect and has no effect on normal body temperature.

7. Mugwort has a hemostatic effect, and the clotting time of different preparations is different.

8. Mugwort oil has anti-allergic effects.

9 In vitro experiments have shown that mugwort oil has inhibitory effects on cocci and most Gram-negative bacilli. Mugwort fumigation also has obvious antibacterial effects on bacteria and fungi. It can be used for air disinfection to reduce the colony count by 95% to 99.8%.

10. Intragastric administration of mugwort oil can increase the phagocytic ability of inflammatory exudate cells in mice.

I like Ai Ye, although I have never seen her. Just like two people falling in love at first sight, when I first heard this bitter name, I liked her from the bottom of my heart. No matter whether this person is a friend or a confidant. I selfishly hope that its medicinal value can be reused to bring some benefit to those who suffer from illness.
