Is nystatin tablets useful for treating thrush?

Thrush can easily affect the health of newborns. In many cases, it is caused by some fungal infections. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to oral hygiene and eliminate the source of infection. When using nystatin tablets to treat thrush, you should pay attention to the method.

1. Oral thrush is a disease caused by Candida albicans infection. This fungus is widely present in nature and can also be found in and on the bodies of healthy people. Newborns are susceptible to birth canal infection during the delivery process. In addition, unclean nipples of the mother during feeding, wiping the mouth with unclean objects, or poor disinfection during breastfeeding can all become factors of infection. Thrush is very common in newborns. The most important reason is that newborns have poor resistance and are susceptible to fungal infections. If thrush is not treated in time, it will spread throughout the mouth, resulting in the inability to eat normally. In severe cases, it can spread along the digestive tract. If nystatin treatment is not thorough, it is easy to relapse. You can use the Chinese patent medicine Bingpengsan or Xileisan to apply to the affected area, which can usually be cured in a few days. At the same time, pay attention to oral hygiene and eliminate the source of infection.
