The human meridians are the pathways through which Qi and blood circulate in the human body. They belong to the internal organs and are spread throughout the body, connecting various tissues and organs into an organic whole. According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, the meridians in the human body are like a criss-crossing transportation network, connecting the various internal organs and communicating qi and blood. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that all diseases are caused by blocked meridians. There are three very important meridians in our body. Tap them every day to help you resist disease invasion from head to toe! Pericardium Meridian: Protecting the Heart Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the pericardium is the guardian of the heart and can "protect the host from evil." All cardiovascular problems should be solved by addressing the pericardium meridian. The pericardium meridian starts from the heart, passes through the armpit, and reaches the fingertips along the midline of the inner side of the arm. Along the way, there are acupoints such as Tianchi, Jiquan, Neiguan, and Laogong. The Jiquan point located at the apex of the armpit and the Neiguan point on the inner side of the wrist are both heart emergency points. When angina pectoris or myocardial infarction occurs, plucking the Jiquan point can increase blood supply to the heart; pressing and rubbing the Neiguan point can also protect the heart. The Neiguan point is an important position on the pericardium meridian. If the pericardium meridian is stimulated appropriately, it can increase blood supply to the heart and effectively protect the heart. Method: Use one hand to massage along the path of the contralateral pericardium meridian from the middle fingertip upwards, with special emphasis on the Neiguan, Jiquan and other acupoints. If you find massaging too troublesome, you can achieve the same effect by tapping along the pericardium meridian. Large Intestine Meridian: Enhance Yang Qi and eliminate heatiness The Large Intestine Meridian of Hand Yangming is also known as the Large Intestine Meridian. It starts at the outer end of the index finger, passes through the back of the hand and goes up along the outer side of the arm to the shoulder, then turns back to meet the Du Meridian behind the neck, then turns forward and goes down all the way, passing through the chest cavity and abdominal cavity, and finally enters the large intestine. The Large Intestine Meridian also has a branch that goes up through the neck to the face and connects with the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming on both sides of the nose. Therefore, diseases of the head and face are "closely related" to this meridian. "Lingshu Meridians" records that "the Large Intestine Hand Yangming Meridian is responsible for diseases caused by body fluids", such as yellow eyes, dry mouth, runny nose, nosebleed, and throat congestion. It is believed to be a meridian with strong qi and blood, which can help the human body strengthen its yang energy or remove excess heat. The main daily health care acupoints of the large intestine meridian are Hegu and Quchi. 1. Hegu point: replenishing qi and blood The name Hegu means that the qi and blood of the large intestine meridian gather here and form a strong dampness and wind. Hegu point is the original point of the large intestine meridian. It is gathered from the moisture and cloud vapor of Sanjian point. It is warm in nature, large in volume, and has a wide range. It can play the role of replenishing the qi and blood of the entire large intestine meridian. Method: Press and rub the skin at the Hegu point with the opposite thumb or pinch it with three fingers until you feel a tolerable soreness. 2. Quchi acupoint: detoxification and stress relief Quchi point is the He point of the Large Intestine Meridian. It is the point where the Large Intestine Meridian's meridian qi is the strongest, and it is also the place where the damp and turbid qi of the Large Intestine meridian gathers. The Quchi point is closely related to the human body's metabolism. Since the human body excretes waste daily with the help of the intestinal organs, frequently pressing the Quchi point can detoxify and relieve stress. Method: Press slightly with your thumb until you feel a slight pain, press for 5 seconds and then release. Alternate pressing with both hands for 3-5 minutes. Stomach Meridian: Protecting the "Foundation of Acquired Constitution" The Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming is referred to as the "Stomach Meridian". It runs through the human body up and down, with a total of 45 acupoints on each side. It is a very important meridian. In actual application, we know more about its branches. This meridian goes down along the throat to the Dazhui point, then turns to enter the chest and abdominal cavity, then goes down to the front of the thigh, and all the way down to the dorsum of the foot and toes. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that "the stomach is the foundation of acquired constitution" and daily diet nutrition is supplied by the stomach. Whether the stomach functions normally affects the health of the whole body. Therefore, the main function of the Stomach Meridian is "digestion". It has good effects on gastrointestinal diseases, as well as diseases of the head, face, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth and other parts of the body where the meridian runs. Its main health-care acupoints include Tianshu and Zusanli. 1. Tianshu Point: Prevent and treat gastrointestinal diseases Tianshu point is located at the midpoint of the body. The human qi flows through here to communicate up and down, and to rise and fall. It is mainly used to treat gastrointestinal diseases such as abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and dysentery. Method: Just place your thumbs on the Tianshu point and do circular massage for 3 to 5 minutes. Persistent kneading will achieve good health-preserving effects. 2. Zusanli: the universal acupoint Zusanli is a "star acupuncture point". It is a major acupuncture point for strengthening the body. "Sanli" means to regulate the upper, middle and lower parts. Regular massage can strengthen gastrointestinal motility and help regulate and improve overall immune function. Method: Press with your thumb or middle finger for 5 to 10 minutes each time, and you will feel a tingling, soreness, and heat in the area. If you persist in doing it, you can prevent diseases, improve your health, resist aging and prolong your life. All diseases are caused by blocked meridians! The pericardium meridian, large intestine meridian and stomach meridian in our body help us resist disease invasion from head to toe! Tapping it once a day can protect your heart, enhance your yang energy, and protect your "acquired foundation". Be sure to share it with your friends! |
