What are the treatments for urinary tract stone pain?

Maybe everyone has heard of urinary tract stones. This disease is mostly caused by bad habits. Urinary tract stones must be treated in time to avoid major complications and change bad habits. Here are some treatment methods for you. What should I do if I have urinary tract stones? What are the treatment methods?

Urethral stones are a very common urinary stone disease. However, few people know that they are caused by bad habits such as drinking less water, often holding urine, drinking beer, drinking milk before going to bed, etc., which are then accompanied by symptoms such as painful urination, urinary tract obstruction, and urinary tract infection.

1. Drug-assisted stone removal method. There are many disadvantages, such as low success rate, long time, and easy to cause obstructive infection, and it is very likely to drag down the disease and cause renal function impairment, and even loss of renal function in severe cases!

2. Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. Extracorporeal lithotripsy is a familiar method for treating urethral stones. Since its clinical application, it has saved many patients from the pain of surgery. Extracorporeal lithotripsy is used for various types of kidney stones, including staghorn stones, multiple stones, bilateral kidney stones, etc. It is most suitable for single stones at the outlet of the renal pelvis and ureteral stones above the L5 transverse process, with a course of no more than 6 weeks. Extracorporeal lithotripsy can achieve good results in 60-70% of patients with urethral stones, but about 30-40% of patients with stones are not suitable for lithotripsy, with obstruction of urinary tract stone excretion being the main reason.

3. Transurethral endoscopic laser lithotripsy. Endoscopic laser lithotripsy is a procedure in which a ureteroscope is inserted into the urethra until it reaches the ureteral stone. The stone is trapped with a special stone trap net and a laser fiber is introduced through the operating hole of the ureteroscope to contact the stone, breaking the large stone into small pieces before removal. Ureteroscopy can also be used to examine lesions in the ureter and simultaneously remove polyps, tumors, etc. in the ureter, leaving the lumen unobstructed and more conducive to the excretion of stones. Most urinary tract stones can be treated with intracavitary laser, which greatly reduces the harm of surgery to the human body, improves safety, and has the advantages of less impact on the body, less trauma, faster recovery, less pain, and shorter hospitalization time (generally 2 to 3 days of hospitalization after surgery), and no impact on work and life after discharge.
