Brain protein hydrolysate has the function of transporting meridians and dredging collaterals. It is quite good in unblocking cerebral blood vessels and reducing infarction. It has a good effect in protecting brain cells, can improve and regulate the metabolism of brain neurons, and can play a certain role in preventing damage caused by some neurotoxins due to cerebral ischemia and hypoxia. It is often used in the treatment of organic cerebral mental syndrome, and in the treatment after brain trauma and craniocerebral surgery. Indications 1. Used for primary dementia (such as menopausal and Alzheimer's disease syndrome), vascular dementia (such as multi-infarct dementia) and mixed dementia. 2. It has been used for organic cerebral mental syndrome, brain dysfunction after brain trauma and craniocerebral surgery, incomplete brain development, memory loss, etc. Contraindications 1. People who are allergic to brain protein hydrolysate; 2. Women in the first three months of pregnancy and breastfeeding; 3. Grand mal seizures and status epilepticus; 4. Severe renal dysfunction. Pharmacological Action 1. Brain protein hydrolysate is an aqueous solution of a mixture of various amino acids and low molecular weight peptides obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of animal brain tissue protein. 1 mL of brain protein hydrolysate is equivalent to 1 g of nitrogen-containing substances in brain protein. Brain protein hydrolysate is a brain function improver. 50% to 80% of free amino acids can enter brain nerve cells through the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier, and small molecule peptides with a molecular weight below 10,000 can also pass through the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier and affect the respiratory chain. Brain protein hydrolysate has anti-hypoxia effect, can improve the symptoms of brain cell hypoxia, and enhance the brain's tolerance to hypoxia. It can also promote protein synthesis in nerve cells, restoring the function of damaged but not degenerated nerve cells. At the same time, it can accelerate the movement of glucose through the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier, improve brain energy supply, increase the activity of adenylate cyclase, catalyze other hormone systems, and improve memory function. The ratio of amino acids in brain protein hydrolysate is constant and similar to that in normal brain tissue. However, the use of a synthetic amino acid mixture with similar composition to that of brain protein hydrolysate did not produce similar effects as that of brain protein hydrolysate. 2. Pharmacological action: Brain protein hydrolysate passes through the blood-brain barrier, can promote protein synthesis in brain cells, affect the respiratory chain, enhance the ability to resist hypoxia, improve energy metabolism in the brain, activate adenylate cyclase and catalyze other hormone systems; provide precursors of neurotransmitters, peptide hormones and coenzymes. 3. Effect and use: Brain protein hydrolysate is a protein-free aqueous solution of a specific amino acid mixture. It contains free amino acids and low molecular peptides, including various essential amino acids (isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, valine) and non-essential amino acids (alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cystine, glutamic acid, glycine, proline, tyrosine), in addition to glutamine, asparagine, ornithine, citrulline, γ-aminobutyric acid and γ-aminoβ-hydroxybutyric acid. |
