1. The efficacy and function of Amomum villosum

It is used to treat dampness blocking qi stagnation; abdominal distension; loss of appetite; nausea and vomiting; abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting during pregnancy; and fetal movement disorder. It is used for dampness and turbidity blocking the middle part of the body, abdominal distension without hunger, spleen and stomach deficiency and cold, vomiting and diarrhea, nausea during pregnancy, and fetal movement disorder.

2. Additional prescription

①Harmonize the stomach qi, eliminate food stagnation, regulate abdominal pain, relieve diaphragm, and regulate the spleen: 1 liang of agarwood, 2 liang each of Amomum villosum and Linderae scabra, 4 liang of clean Cyperus rotundus, 1 liang and 2 qian of licorice (roasted). Those with yin deficiency and heat should not take it.

① "Bencao Bencao of Marine Drugs": Good ingredients include Terminalia chebula, turtle shell, cardamom, and white wormwood.

② "Bencao Jingshu": Abdominal pain is caused by fire, diarrhea is caused by summer heat, fetal movement is caused by blood heat, sore throat is caused by fire inflammation, prolapse of the anus in children is caused by qi deficiency, swelling is caused by damp heat, shortness of breath and cough is caused by fire pressing on the lungs and not by hearing damage caused by cold.
