2. Ear Acupuncture

Acupoint selection: corresponding parts, neck, waist, spleen, stomach, adrenal glands, brain points, and pituitary gland.

Treatment method: Once every other day, the needle is left in for half an hour each time, ten times is a course of treatment, and there is an interval of 3-5 days between each course of treatment. This is also a method of acupuncture treatment of muscular atrophy.

3. Body acupuncture:

This method generally selects acupoints such as Dazhui, Shousanli, Quchi, Hegu, Zusanli, Yanglingquan, and Juegu. The alternative acupoints include Mingmen, Qihai, Xuehai, Taichong, Pishu, Neiguan, Guanyuan, Yuji, etc.

The treatment method is generally to select 4-5 commonly used acupoints each time, and 1-2 auxiliary acupoints each time. When acupuncture is performed at the Dazhui point, sit upright with the head slightly tilted forward and insert the needle slowly. When the patient feels numbness in his limbs, the needle is removed. The remaining acupoints are all treated with the method of tight insertion and slow lifting. Use a skin needle to perform moderate tapping on the neck, sides of the spine and areas of muscle atrophy. It is appropriate when the skin appears flushed and slightly bleeding.

This is one way acupuncture can treat muscular atrophy.
