Causes of styes

Causes of styes

A stye is what people usually call a stye. Because it looks like a grain of stye, it is vividly called a stye. There are two kinds of glands in the human eye: the sebaceous glands near the eyelash follicles and the meibomian glands buried in the tarsal plate near the junctional membrane. Stye is an acute suppurative inflammation of one or both of these glands. Stye is divided into internal stye and external stye.

The new bacteria that cause styes are mostly Staphylococcus aureus. Severe external hordeolum can cause high fever, while the clinical symptoms of internal hordeolum are far less severe than those of external hordeolum. When pus accumulates locally, yellow pus heads appear. External styes occur in the sebaceous glands at the root of the eyelashes and appear on the skin surface; internal styes occur in the meibomian glands and appear on the conjunctival surface. After rupture and drainage of pus, the pain will be relieved and the redness and swelling will subside.

When people get a stye, local redness, swelling and pain will appear on the eyelid skin. There are two main reasons for sty: one is not paying attention to eye hygiene. Some friends often rub their eyes with their hands, which can easily cause bacteria on the hands to cause eye inflammation, thus leading to sty; the other reason is excessive fatigue and lack of sleep. This opportunity has happened to everyone.

Especially on the eve of exams, I often have to stay up late to review my lessons. Some people usually have the habit of working at night, which are the causes of sty. Once a stye appears, never squeeze it with your hands. If it breaks, it may even be life-threatening. In the early stages of a stye, you can apply a hot towel to the eye or use eye drops to treat it. At the same time, pay attention to eye hygiene.

During the treatment period, try to get more rest. Stye has a certain ability to heal itself. Generally, after a few days of treatment and rest, the stye will subside. Some more serious cases may not improve after several months or even half a year. In this case, you should go to the hospital for surgery. The main purpose of surgery is to make an incision to drain the pus, clean the necrotic tissue, and sometimes remove the granulation tissue.
