How to treat lumbar nerve compression?

Lumbar disease is a common disease in clinical practice. If left untreated, it is very serious and typically presents with symptoms of nerve compression. The lumbar spine compresses the nerves severely and must be treated as soon as possible. Generally speaking, the treatment for lumbar nerve compression is mainly conservative treatment.

1. Conservative treatment

Commonly used methods for treating lumbar disc herniation in clinical practice include traction, physical therapy, acupuncture, etc. These treatment methods are mainly aimed at relieving the patient's symptoms. However, this conservative treatment method is not suitable for all patients with lumbar disc herniation. For those patients with large protrusions that have compressed the nerves, the treatment effect is not ideal.

2. TCM external plaster treatment

The human body's meridians are composed of meridians and collaterals. Meridians are the main lines, collaterals are the side branches, and meridians and collaterals crisscross to form a large network in the human body. Acupoints are the intersection points of meridians and collaterals. 3. Other treatments

You can take anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs to relieve the symptoms of pain in the waist and legs; go to a regular hospital for treatment with lumbar traction and lumbar acupuncture and massage to relieve the current pain by activating blood circulation; try to reduce bending over and sitting for long periods of time, stand up and move around more often, and rest on a hard bed; after the symptoms of low back pain improve, strengthen the exercise of the waist and back muscles, such as walking backwards or lying on the bed with your back straightened, to reduce the chance of recurrence.
