If a pregnant woman is hit, will the fetus suffer cerebral palsy?

Generally speaking, when a pregnant woman is hit, the fetus will not suffer from cerebral palsy, because the baby is in the amniotic fluid, which has a certain buffering effect and can buffer some external impact forces. When a pregnant woman is hit by a relatively strong impact, she should go to the hospital for examination in time. This kind of harm is also relatively large, and it is easy to cause miscarriage in pregnant women. There are many causes of cerebral palsy, including congenital ductile abnormalities, ischemic hypoxia, etc.

Causes of cerebral palsy

1. Low birth weight babies (less than 2500g): including premature babies and full-term small babies.

2. Congenital abnormalities: including brain development abnormalities caused by various reasons. Among patients with cerebral palsy with quadriplegia, 53% are related to congenital abnormalities; among patients with cerebral palsy without quadriplegia, 35% are caused by congenital maldevelopment.

3. Cerebral ischemia and hypoxia: Among patients with cerebral palsy, 20% are caused by asphyxia and birth trauma. The factors leading to ischemia and hypoxia include:

(1) Maternal factors: such as pregnancy-induced hypertension, heart failure, heavy bleeding, anemia, shock, drug abuse, drug overdose, etc.;

(2) Placental factors: such as placental abruption, placenta previa, placental necrosis or placental dysfunction;

(3) Umbilical cord blood flow obstruction: such as umbilical cord prolapse, compression, knotting or entanglement;

(4) Abnormal delivery process: such as breech delivery, delayed labor, surgical delivery (forceps) or use of anesthetics;

(5) Neonatal factors: In addition to asphyxia, there are many cardiopulmonary dysfunction diseases. Such as: congenital heart disease, respiratory distress syndrome, circulatory failure, polycythemia.

4. Kernicterus: It is an important cause of cerebral palsy. With the progress of domestic medicine, the proportion of cerebral palsy caused by kernicterus has decreased.

Treatment of cerebral palsy :

1. Drug treatment: Drug treatment can only be used as an auxiliary method for cerebral palsy, and it cannot be used for a long time, so as to avoid adverse reactions such as reduced motor ability and accumulation of drug toxicity in children.

2. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment: Use acupuncture, massage and other traditional Chinese medicine methods to treat cerebral palsy.

3. Rehabilitation training: This is an extremely important treatment method for cerebral palsy. It can compensate for the damaged part of the brain tissue during its continuous maturation and differentiation, thereby improving the motor function of the child.

4. Surgical treatment: Surgical treatment is divided into two categories: neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery, but the risks are greater.

Experts say: The treatment of cerebral palsy is very important, and everyone should understand it seriously. They also hope that patients with cerebral palsy can actively seek treatment. The above are relatively common methods for treating cerebral palsy, but it should be noted that: the side effects of drugs on patients are relatively large, the risks of surgery are too high, and there are sequelae, and the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine treatment is slow. Therefore, more scientific and effective treatment methods are needed to treat cerebral palsy. Neural tissue repair therapy is currently a professional technology for treating cerebral palsy, and it has good results.
