How to replenish one's spirit

How to replenish one's spirit

If you feel particularly tired and lack energy in your daily life. At this time, you should pay attention and emphasize nourishment. There are many reasons for lack of energy, energy and spirit, which are related to psychological pressure, poor diet and excessive work pressure. At this time, you must adjust your energy, energy and spirit, maintain adequate rest and moderate exercise, which will help to regulate your energy and spirit.

To replenish the essence, energy and spirit, we must start from the kidneys

1. Essence, Qi and Spirit are the three treasures of the human body. Professor Yang Guohan, a well-known traditional Chinese medicine doctor, explained: According to Chinese medicine theory, essence, Qi and Spirit are the "three treasures of the human body" and the foundation of life. Essence, Qi and Spirit are concepts in ancient philosophy, referring to the original substances that form all things in the universe, and also include the meaning of elements. "Laozi", "Zhuangzi" and "Guanzi" all believe that "essence and spirit" are a kind of subtle energy, which is a material thing just like the "qi" that makes up the body. Professor Yang emphasized that "full essence, sufficient qi, and full spirit" are the signs of human health, while deficiency of essence, weak qi, and weak spirit are the precursors of disease and aging. Sun Simiao, a famous doctor in the Tang Dynasty, once pointed out: "Essence, Qi and Spirit cannot be damaged, otherwise it will harm life." "Spirit controls the body, essence nourishes Qi, and Qi replenishes essence" are the three major elements that maintain human life activities. Therefore, in winter, we need to regulate and replenish our "essence, energy, and spirit" so that we have the foundation to resist diseases and strengthen our bodies.

2. To replenish the "essence, energy and spirit", start with the kidneys. So, where do the "essence, energy and spirit" come from? From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, the "essence" we are talking about is divided into two parts. One is the innate essence "inherited from parents", and the other is the "acquired essence" that absorbs the essence of food through the spleen, stomach and other internal organs. Regardless of whether it is innate or acquired essence, it is mainly hidden in the kidneys, that is, kidney essence. When a person is in a healthy state, he or she can show that the kidney essence is sufficient. For example, an old man who is energetic, walks with a strong step, has a straight back, and has smooth and rosy skin, is a manifestation of sufficient kidney essence. If the kidneys are deficient, the first symptoms are soreness in the waist and knees, and hunchback and flexion of the back, which means that the kidney's function of controlling the bones is poor. Moreover, insufficient kidney essence will also affect the functions of other organs. For example, "the lungs govern the skin and hair." Kidney deficiency causes the lungs to be unable to absorb air, so the skin becomes dull and the complexion becomes gray. This way, the whole person will look listless.

3. The root of "Qi" is also hidden in the "Kidney", the mother of the five internal organs, and is called Yuan Qi.

Friends with sufficient kidney energy speak powerfully, have quick thinking, and are capable of social work and housework. Patients with kidney deficiency often sigh, feel tired, have no interest in anything, have no energy during the day, suffer from insomnia, nightmares, and frequent urination at night. These symptoms cannot be diagnosed as specific diseases and are often not understood by people around them. If you find the root cause of the disease and start by replenishing the kidney essence, it can be said to be a very effective method. Next, let’s talk about “spirit”. The spirit mentioned in traditional Chinese medicine is “spirit and soul”, which is reflected in our eyes. People often say that "eyes can speak" and "eyes are the windows to the soul", which shows that the spirit is in the eyes and is reflected by the eyes. The spirit in the eyes is a comprehensive manifestation of kidney essence, kidney qi and liver essence. If kidney yin deficiency leads to hyperactivity of liver yang, the eyes will be dry and bloodshot, the tears will be sticky, and at the same time the mouth, nose and ears will be dry. The eyes will be dry and dull. When kidney yang is deficient, the eyes will tear up when exposed to wind, vision will be blurred, hands and feet will be cold, you will catch cold easily, you will have loose stools, pain on both sides of your stomach, your eyes will be wandering, and you will feel insecure and listless.
