How to determine whether scars are hypertrophic

If scars proliferate, it will have a great impact on the beauty of the skin. If you want to know whether the scar is proliferating, you can understand it through certain symptoms. For example, when itching and stinging symptoms appear in the scar area, you should pay attention to it. There are many reasons for scar hyperplasia. In addition to scar-prone constitution, some bad habits in daily life are the most important reasons for scar hyperplasia.

How to determine whether scars are hypertrophic

1. Diagnosis:

1. Specific symptoms of scars

Scar tissue may cause varying degrees of subjective symptoms, which are most obvious in hypertrophic scars. These symptoms include itching, stinging or burning pain, irritability or local hypersensitivity, and some patients even have obvious tenderness. Scars near limb joints can affect limb movement and cause joint movement disorders; large areas of scars can cause the skin to lose functions such as sweating.

2. Characteristics of hypertrophic scars

In the early stage, local scars swell, become congested and hardened, and most of them will not cause serious functional disorders. At this time, the surface, middle, bottom and basal layers of hypertrophic scar tissue are:

(1) The surface layer is a layer of atrophic epithelial cells

(2) The middle layer is vascularized and infiltrated with inflammatory cells

(3) The bottom layer is composed of fewer collagen fibers and a large amount of connective tissue hyperplasia

(4) The basal layer is not adhered to the deep tissue and can promote the contraction of small

Classification:

1. Scar formation: Scar formation is caused by the body's inflammatory response, imbalance in collagen synthesis and degradation, the appearance of abnormal mucopolysaccharides and the proliferation of fibroblasts. Reduced lymphatic return and local edema in hypertrophic scars can lead to scar hypertrophy, which is an inevitable product of the body's trauma repair.

2. Depressed scars: Defects in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue of the skin can cause depressed scars, which are often caused by acne, trauma, and chickenpox.

3. Superficial scars: Superficial scars refer to scars on the superficial layer of the skin. Their appearance is slightly different from normal skin and are caused by skin infection.

4. Scar atrophy and depression: Atrophic scars are scars named after the functional impairment they cause.
