What are the symptoms of spinal fasciitis? Is it serious?

Fasciitis is a type of fibrous tissue inflammation that can occur in any part of the human body, most commonly in the waist. When the disease occurs, patients often experience symptoms of lower back pain accompanied by tenderness. Sometimes mucositis also occurs in the buttocks.

1. Lumbar fasciitis: It is a strain disease of the lumbar soft tissue. Most of the pain occurs because of long-term waist stress and bending activities, which cause strain, degeneration and fibrosis of the lumbar fascia, compression of peripheral blood vessels, local tissue metabolism disorders, and increased levels of histamine and kinin substances. The typical pain is dull pain in the waist, which is aggravated by exertion, improved by rest, and recurs repeatedly.

2. Lumbar muscle strain : refers to the chronic damaging inflammation of the lumbar muscles and their attachment points, fascia, periosteum, etc., which is a common cause of low back pain. Bending over for a long time can keep the waist muscles in a state of continuous tension, compressing small blood vessels, resulting in insufficient oxygen supply and accumulation of metabolites, forming damaging inflammation and causing pain.

The typical symptom is chronic soreness and swelling in the lower back, which can be relieved by rest, but will feel uncomfortable again if you stay in bed for a long time. The pain will be relieved after a little activity, but will worsen again if you move too long, and there are fixed tenderness points at the origin and insertion of the muscles. If you suffer from lumbar fasciitis, you should rest assured to prevent it from becoming a chronic disease. You need to correct bad working postures on a daily basis, such as bending over for too long or leaning over a desk too low, and control your weight to reduce the burden on your waist.

For spinal fascia, if it is treated effectively in the early stage, most people can recover; if it is delayed too long and turns into a chronic disease, it will be troublesome. This is a very disturbing disease, but it is also a preventable and curable disease. As long as you strengthen your daily hygiene knowledge and stretching exercise techniques, you can reduce the chance of plantar fasciitis.
