How to treat lower limb venous obstruction

Lower limb vein obstruction is a relatively common vascular disease that is very harmful. If it is not treated promptly and well, it may even cause lung damage, which will have a relatively adverse impact on the patient's life safety and cause great harm to the patient's daily life and work. In this case, timely treatment is required. If it is serious, it can be treated through certain surgical methods.

How to treat lower limb venous obstruction

① Venous valve repair: Through surgery, the relaxed free edge of the valve is shortened so that it can close. ② Annular stenosis of the femoral vein valve: Under normal circumstances, the width of the valve sinus is larger than the width of the vein in the non-valve sinus area. Therefore, sutures, tissue pieces or artificial fabrics are used to wrap around the vein to reduce its diameter, restore the diameter ratio of the valve sinus and the vein, and the valve closing function is restored. ③Valved vein segment transplantation: A segment of vein with a normal valve (such as the brachial vein) is implanted proximal to the superficial femoral vein to prevent blood backflow. ④ Semitendinosus-biceps femoris tendon loop popliteal vein valve replacement: The principle of the operation is to utilize the contraction and relaxation of the semitendinosus-biceps femoris tendon loop to enable the popliteal vein to acquire valve-like function. Since deep venous valve insufficiency is accompanied by superficial varicose veins, high ligation of the great saphenous vein and varicose vein stripping are required at the same time. Patients with pigmentation or ulcers in the foot and boot area also need to undergo ligation of the communicating veins.

Nursing principles: 1. Patients with varicose veins of the lower limbs should exercise in a planned and step-by-step manner. At the same time, they should drink less or no alcoholic beverages. Patients with trauma should eat less or no irritating foods. 2. What are the daily precautions for varicose veins? Patients with varicose veins in the lower limbs should avoid pressure on the affected limbs, try to avoid tight clothing, sit cross-legged or with legs crossed at the knees, and do not put anything under the legs. 3. Prevent long-term increase in intra-abdominal pressure. Increased intra-abdominal pressure can affect the venous blood return of the lower limbs, causing increased venous pressure in the lower limbs, increasing the burden on the venous valves or damaging the venous valves. Therefore, chronic diseases that can cause increased intra-abdominal pressure, such as chronic cough and constipation, should be actively treated.

4. What are the daily precautions for varicose veins? Wearing elastic stockings or binding elastic bandages can exert the "pump" effect of the calf muscles, promote blood return to the lower limbs, and reduce or eliminate the feeling of heaviness and fatigue in the limbs. 5. Patients with varicose veins in the lower limbs should protect the affected limbs from injury and avoid scratching and scrubbing the affected limbs vigorously. For those who have developed blisters, ulcers or gangrene, the local area should be kept clean and correct treatment methods should be used for active treatment. The affected limbs with severe blood supply deficiency should avoid bathing with hot water to avoid increasing tissue metabolism, aggravating tissue hypoxia, causing the disease to progress faster and worsening symptoms.
