Are there lumps in the breast structure?

Female friends are all concerned about the phenomenon of lumps in the breast. They are not sure whether it is a lump or not, nor are they sure whether the lump is related to many breast diseases. So is it normal to have lumps in the breast? Is there a lump in the breast structure itself? You can combine the following self-examination methods to determine whether the lump in the breast is suspected to be pathological. If any problems are found, you need to seek medical diagnosis.

Best time for self-examination

1. For women with normal menstruation, the best time is the 9th to 11th day after menstruation (fixed day, check once a month). At this time, the effect of estrogen on the breast is minimal, the breast is in a relatively static state, and lesions are easier to detect.

2. For postmenopausal women, due to the decrease of estrogen in the body, the influence of endocrine hormones is relatively weakened, so they can choose the time for self-examination at will.

    Self-test method

    Mirror inspection

1. Stand in front of a mirror with your upper body exposed and your arms hanging at your sides, and observe the shape of your breasts. (It's not abnormal if one breast is slightly larger than the other.)

2. Raise your arms above your head, turn your body, and check if the shape of your breasts changes.

3. Put your hands on your hips and slowly rotate your body to the right and left to check if your nipples and breasts are sunken, red, swollen or have skin damage.

4. Place your palms on your hips and press down hard while rotating your body. This will make the outline of your breasts clearer. Pay attention to observe whether there are any abnormal changes in the shape of the breasts. If any abnormal changes are found, compare them with the other side to see whether the breasts are symmetrical. If it is asymmetric, be alert and seek medical attention promptly.

  Normal phenomena during special periods

Before menstruation comes, women often experience breast fullness, hardness, and tenderness. In severe cases, the breasts will become swollen and painful with just a slight vibration or collision. This is normal. Before menstruation, the estrogen level in women's bodies increases, the breasts proliferate, and the tissue between the breasts becomes edematous.

Generally, it will disappear after menstruation comes or ends. There is no need to worry too much if there are lumps in the breasts during this special period.

So, although breast cancer is terrible, not all lumps indicate breast cancer. You should do regular self-examinations. Don’t worry too much if you find any lumps in your breasts. If you see any signs of this, go to the hospital for a check-up immediately. Be sure to take preventive measures as early as possible.

Prevention is better than cure! You can do some breast health exercises or go to a beauty salon to clear and maintain the breasts to avoid breast diseases. Women should love themselves well!
