Syndrome differentiation and prescription selection: 1. Blood deficiency and cold stagnation Treatment method: Warming the meridians and dispelling cold, nourishing blood and unblocking collaterals. Prescription: Modified Duhuo Jishe Decoction. Angelica dahurica, Asarum, cinnamon twig, mistletoe, Achyranthes bidentata, Poria, Stephania tetrandra, Chinese angelica, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Atractylodes macrocephala, and raw licorice. For those with weak constitution, add Codonopsis pilosula and Eucommia ulmoides; for those with disease in the upper limbs, add Qiangqia and Curcuma longa. 2. Deficiency of Qi and Blood Treatment method: Nourish Qi and blood. Prescription: Shiquan Dabu Decoction or Ginseng Yangrong Decoction with modifications. Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, Angelica sinensis, White Peony Root, Rehmannia glutinosa, Astragalus membranaceus, Cinnamon bark (taken with water), and roasted Licorice root. 3. Liver and kidney deficiency Treatment method: For those with Yin deficiency, nourish Yin and clear away heat; for those with Yang deficiency, warm Yang and dispel cold. Prescription: For those with yin deficiency: Qinji Biejia Decoction with modifications. Rehmannia root bark, Bupleurum chinense, Gentiana macrophylla, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, turtle shell, Angelica sinensis, Scrophularia ningpoensis. For those with Yang deficiency: Yanghe Decoction with modifications. Rehmannia glutinosa, white mustard seeds, roasted ginger, ephedra, licorice, cinnamon, antler glue (melted and taken with water), psoralea corylifolia, atractylodes macrocephala, and poria. 4. Heat and toxicity Treatment method: clear away heat, detoxify, and drain pus. Prescription: Wuwei Xiaodu Yin combined with Tuoli Tounong San with modifications. Honeysuckle, Forsythia, Wild Chrysanthemum, Plantain Glehnia, Codonopsis, Atractylodes, Raw Astragalus, Angelica, Paniculata, and Horned Thorn. For those with excessive heat, add Coptis chinensis, Scutellaria baicalensis, Gardenia jasminoides, and remove Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes macrocephala, and Astragalus membranaceus. Chinese patent medicine? 1. Wanlingdan (Medical Mirror): Dosage and usage: Take 1 pill each time, with onion, fermented black beans decoction or warm wine. Indications: Bone carbuncle caused by wind, cold and dampness. 2. Kangyanling Tablets: 4 tablets each time, 3 times a day. Indications: consolidation treatment for osteomyelitis where clinical symptoms have disappeared. 3. Liuwei Dihuang Pills: take 8 pills each time, 3 times a day.
