What ointment to use for blister-type ringworm

Tinea manuum is a common skin disease in clinical practice. Some people also call it goose foot wind. There are many causes of tinea manuum, and the preferred types of classification in clinical practice are also diverse. The treatment methods for different types of tinea manuum are also different. Generally speaking, blister-type tinea manuum also needs to be treated with medication. So what kind of ointment is better for blister-type tinea manuum?

1. Ringworm

Tinea manuum, commonly known as tinea manuum, is a skin lesion caused by harmful fungi infecting the hands and feet. People with tinea manuum will often feel itchy, and papules, blisters, erythema and desquamation will appear on the skin of their hands. Initially it is a small patch, then the damage gradually expands with clear boundaries. Over time, the skin on your hands will become rough, dry, thickened, and may also crack and bleed. It is best not to eat spicy food in life, try to avoid foods such as chili peppers, garlic, ginger, etc., and do not drink those exciting and stimulating beverages. These foods can affect the balance of the sympathetic nerves and accelerate the excretion of sweat, which can cause excessive sweating of the hands and feet, thereby aggravating the condition. If you have ringworm of the hand, you must treat it promptly.

2. Anti-inflammatory treatment

Once it is confirmed that the hands have a fungal infection, it should be treated promptly to prevent the lesions from continuing to expand or become chronic. For keratotic tinea manuum with dry skin and obvious desquamation on the palms, you can soak the skin in 10% glacial acetic acid in the water 1 to 2 times a day for 15 minutes each time in the summer, which has a good therapeutic effect. In addition, mash the bark of fresh elm branches into a paste, apply it to the affected area of tinea manuum, wrap it tightly with gauze and stick it with adhesive tape. You can see obvious results by removing it after four or five hours.

3. Reduce external stimulation

Patients with tinea manuum should avoid washing with soap and try to avoid contact with irritating substances such as detergent, soap powder and other chemical products, and develop the habit of wearing protective gloves when working. If you have tinea pedis, you should cure it and avoid sharing face towels or bath towels to avoid spreading the disease. Do not share towels, washbasins, etc. with others to avoid the spread of fungi.
