You may consider a fungal infection or inflammatory disease because ovulation does not cause vaginal itching, which can include some other diseases.

What causes vaginal itching during ovulation?

Special infections Fungal vaginitis and Trichomonas vaginitis are the most common causes of vulvar itching. Pubic lice, scabies, and pinworms can also cause itching.

Vulvar pruritus, vulvar squamous cell hyperplasia with severe itching as the main symptom, accompanied by whitening of the vulvar skin.

Bad hygiene habits, not paying attention to the local cleanliness of the vulva, long-term stimulation by sebum, sweat, menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, or immersion in urine and feces can cause vulvar itching; sanitary napkins during menstruation and wearing non-breathable synthetic underwear can induce itching due to long-term accumulation of local moisture and heat.

3. What are the hazards of vaginal itching during ovulation?

When female vulvar itching is severe, it is difficult to cure, is prone to recurrence, and may cause premature birth, fetal infection and malformation. When vaginal itching is severe, it not only makes people restless, but also affects their work, study, life and sleep.

Since itching of the female vulva can affect the sexual life of couples, it is very likely to lead to emotional discord between couples.

It can induce genital infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, perinephritis, sexual (parousal) pain, etc. If not cured for a long time, it can also lead to the occurrence of multiple diseases at the same time.

Severe vaginal itching can cause genital warts and sexually transmitted diseases: Genital warts mostly occur in the female vaginal wall, cervical opening and vulva, and may also cause foul-smelling leucorrhea. Molluscum contagiosum occurring in the vulva is mostly manifested as round papules with an umbilical-like depression in the center. Genital herpes is mostly manifested as bright, rice-sized blisters on the urethral opening and vaginal wall, accompanied by local itching.
