Why is the heart so hot?

Excessive heart fire is a disease term in traditional Chinese medicine. It refers to internal injuries caused by the seven emotions, or external infections caused by the six evils. This can cause dysfunction of the internal organs and the imbalance of water and fire in the human body. It often leads to insomnia, irritability, mouth ulcers, and sometimes difficulty urinating. Its main manifestation is symptoms of damp heat. When these conditions occur, in addition to paying attention to diet adjustments, you can also strengthen the regulation through massage methods.

Why is the heart so hot?

This disease is mostly caused by depression of emotions turning into fire; or internal invasion of fire-evil; or excessive consumption of spicy, stimulating, or warming foods, which accumulate for a long time and turn into fire, burning the heart.

Press two acupoints frequently to relieve heart fire

1. Shaofu Point

This is the Ying point of the Heart Meridian. Ying point is responsible for body heat and can nourish yin and reduce fire. Pinching it is equivalent to taking a very good medicine to relieve heart fire. It is safe, effective and free of charge. It has a very good effect on alleviating symptoms caused by excessive heart fire, such as mouth and tongue ulcers, insomnia, red face and eyes, and red and yellow urine.

Shaofu point is very easy to find. Just gently put your fingers together. The place where your little finger presses is Shaofu point. This point is also located on the horizontal line on the palm of your palm, which is called the "love line." When used for health care, just use your thumb to press and rub the Shaofu point for 3 minutes. If used to relieve heart fire, you need to press it for a longer time, at least 5 minutes each time.

2. Laogong Point

This is an acupuncture point connected to the heart. It is located in the palm of the human hand, between the 2nd and 3rd metacarpal bones, closer to the 3rd metacarpal bone, at the tip of the middle finger when making a fist.

Lao means work and gong means palace. This acupoint means that the high-heat energy of the pericardium meridian drives the moisture in the spleen and earth to transform into energy. In the biochemical process corresponding to the five internal organs, the liver is responsible for "birth", so the liver generates fire; the heart is responsible for "growth", so after the liver fire reaches the heart, it is nourished and grown. Of course, if the fire is too big, it will make people angry and harm the body. There is fire that needs to be vented, so it passes through the pericardium meridian and comes to the Laogong point. The spleen is responsible for transportation and transformation, and the spleen earth in the point transforms the fire into spleen dampness for use by the body. Therefore, when you are angry, you should massage the Laogong point more often, so that the nutrients in the body can be used instead of wasted.

The key to "clearing the heart fire" is to be careful about daily life and regulate emotions.

In today's society, the pace of life is fast and work pressure is high. Coupled with unhappy life and family disharmony, it is easier to develop negative emotions or psychological conditions such as irritability, depression and anxiety. It is important to maintain a good attitude. When encountering things, you should remain calm, not anxious or irritable, remain calm and composed, not annoyed or angry, stay up late less, go to bed early and get up early, and be calm and indifferent. To achieve this, we must first develop good living habits and maintain an optimistic mental state.
