Why is my neck cold?

Why is my neck cold?

We all know that the neck is a particularly vulnerable part because there are a lot of cartilage in the neck. Many people will wear a scarf if their clothes collar is relatively low in winter, because without a scarf, their neck will feel particularly cold. In cold weather, the neck can even be frozen to numbness. In fact, there are many reasons why the neck is afraid of cold, such as cervical spondylosis. So what are the reasons for the neck being afraid of cold?

  1. Cervical Spondylosis

.Keep your neck and head warm 3.Exercise more. A neck that cannot withstand the wind, fear of cold or heel pain are all obvious symptoms of postpartum wind. In your case, the focus should be on tonifying the deficiency. Chinese medicine says that blood deficiency causes wind, and kidney deficiency causes waist and leg pain. This is a deficiency syndrome. If you accidentally catch a cold, there is both deficiency and excess. While dispelling the cold, you should pay attention to your physical condition and replenish qi and blood appropriately. You must not sweat, but pay attention to strengthening the exterior. Only in this way can you treat both the symptoms and the root cause.

    2. Cervical spondylosis belongs to arthralgia. Bi syndrome is a disease caused by external evils such as wind, cold, dampness, heat, dryness and fire invading the body, blocking the meridians and causing poor circulation of Qi and blood. Exposure to wind and cold is one of the main triggering factors of cervical spondylosis. The neck is attacked by cold wind and the cold wind invades, which causes blood circulation in the neck, as the saying goes, "blockage causes pain." At the same time, the neck muscles will contract protectively after being stimulated by the cold to avoid excessive heat dissipation. This increases the tension of the neck muscles and causes an imbalance of force, which leads to narrowing of the cervical intervertebral space, compression of the spinal nerves and blood vessels, and increases the risk of cervical spondylosis. It is more likely to be induced when there are already degenerative diseases or other lesions in the neck. Therefore, the neck likes to live in a warm environment and does not like cold.

    3. The neck is afraid of cold and is icy. The symptoms are quite serious and cause poor sleep quality. It is related to insufficient Qi and blood, kidney yang deficiency, long-term overwork and staying up late can cause it.

    4. It is a manifestation of kidney yang deficiency . The area behind the cervical vertebrae is mainly where the foot-sun bladder meridian runs. The kidney and bladder are exterior and interior to each other, so if kidney yang deficiency occurs, the cervical vertebrae will be cold.
