Why do I get acne on my back and chest?

Acne on the chest and back, also known as blackheads, is a very common skin problem. If patients want to eliminate these pimples, they must first find out the causes of pimples, and then they can take reasonable measures and use different medicines according to the specific causes. Generally speaking, there are four causes of acne: incomplete cleaning, excessive oil secretion, unclean bedding, and heavy moisture in the body.

1. Incomplete cleaning

The back is a blind spot in the body's vision, so it is difficult to clean it completely. Therefore, it is not difficult to understand that acne will appear if the cleaning is not thorough.

2. Excessive oil secretion

The back is an area where sebaceous glands are densely distributed and oil secretion is vigorous. In addition, the stratum corneum on the back is thicker, and the metabolism rate is much slower in comparison. Sebum will accumulate in the pores, which will be blocked if you are not careful, and naturally acne will appear.

3. The bedding is not clean

The sheets and quilts we come into contact with every day when we sleep are actually not as clean as we think. A lot of dust and mites will fall on them. If these beddings are not cleaned properly, our backs will be contaminated with these dirt, causing acne.

4. Heavy moisture in the body

Nowadays, there are many exfoliating products on the market of varying quality, and many people with acne on their backs will rub their backs vigorously while taking a shower, hoping to rub off the acne. But sometimes these pimples still appear. This requires us to trace back to deeper reasons. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that acne on the chest and back is caused by excessive moisture in the human body.

Due to the accumulation of moisture inside the human body, the surface of the skin becomes very oily, thereby attracting more bacteria and dust, clogging the pores and making it easy to get acne. Even if you bathe frequently, the dampness and toxins emitted from your body cannot be removed and acne will still be prevalent.

People with heavy dampness not only suffer from acne, but also have yellow and greasy tongue coating, loose stools, drowsiness, fatigue, bad breath, excessive phlegm, sore throat, greasy hair, and abnormal leucorrhea in women.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the spleen is responsible for digesting food and water. The spleen constantly transports moisture from the human body out of the body. If there is a problem with the spleen, the moisture cannot be transported out, which will cause moisture accumulation.
