Is 36 degrees normal for pregnant women?

Is 36 degrees normal for pregnant women?
After a woman becomes pregnant, her body will be significantly different from before pregnancy. Take body temperature for example. After a woman becomes pregnant, she will often find that her body temperature is always on the high side. However, in this case, many pregnant women will think that they have a fever and are sick. In fact, the result is often not as bad as we think. So what is the normal body temperature for pregnant women? How should I judge whether my body temperature is normal during pregnancy?

  1. What is the normal body temperature of a pregnant woman? The body temperature of a normal woman in the early stages of pregnancy is higher than that of an ordinary person. A temperature of 36.9~37.2℃ for a pregnant woman is considered standard, but if it is between 37.5~38℃, it is also considered normal. As long as the pregnant woman's body temperature does not exceed 38℃, it is not considered to have a fever. However, when pregnant women reach the middle and late stages of pregnancy, their body temperature will return to the same as that of ordinary people, that is, armpit: 36.0-37.3℃, oral: 36.3-37.2℃, rectum: 36.5-37.7℃.

   2. How to judge whether the body temperature in early pregnancy is normal To judge whether the body temperature in early pregnancy is normal, you need to compare the measured low and high temperatures. As long as the difference between your highest and lowest temperatures in a day is within the range of 0.3~0.5, it is normal. Correct measurement method: Basal body temperature is measured under the tongue while lying still for more than 4 hours. (The measurement time should be more than 5 minutes)    3. Things to note: 1. The measurement should be taken at the same time each day, and you cannot talk or move during the measurement, including going to the toilet. 2. In the early stages of pregnancy, due to the action of the corpus luteum of pregnancy, the body temperature will continue to rise. If the body temperature fluctuates between 36.6 and 36.8 degrees Celsius, it indicates that the fetus is in good condition. 3. If the basal body temperature drops in a step-by-step manner, accompanied by vaginal bleeding, cessation of pregnancy reactions, etc., you should go to the hospital immediately for medical treatment, as it is likely a precursor to miscarriage.

The reason why pregnant women have higher body temperature than normal people: The body temperature of pregnant women is higher than normal people because progesterone has a warming effect. After ovulation in the ovaries in the early stages of pregnancy, the follicle forms a corpus luteum and secretes progesterone, which can increase body temperature. If the egg is fertilized and pregnancy occurs, the corpus luteum continues to secrete progesterone, so the body temperature remains at a higher level. Generally speaking, women's basal body temperature changes with their menstrual period. For example, before and after menstruation, a woman's body temperature will be maintained at around 36.5°C under the action of estrogen, and then the body temperature will gradually drop, reaching the lowest during ovulation. After ovulation or conception, the body temperature will rise by 0.3-0.4℃ due to the influence of progesterone, and will return to normal by the next menstruation or the day before it. Therefore, a rise in a woman's body temperature can also be a symptom of a successful pregnancy. If a woman's body temperature is between 36.9℃-37.2℃, and this high temperature period lasts for more than 21 days, and there are no other abnormal reactions, no menstruation, and even early pregnancy reactions, it can generally be considered a sign of pregnancy.
