What medicine is most effective for prickly heat?

When summer comes, the weather becomes very hot, which will make the baby sweat for a long time. The more sweat the body secretes, the more likely it is to get prickly heat and skin diseases. Severe prickly heat can turn into pustules, which is a big hazard for busy parents, because after this disease occurs, you must go to the hospital for examination and treatment. If you have prickly heat, try not to take excessive medication, and more importantly, you need to master the care skills.

Home Care Act:

(1) Pay attention to indoor air circulation to keep the indoor temperature cool;

(2) Change clothes frequently: Wear loose and dry clothes and avoid wearing synthetic underwear;

(3) When it is hot, make sure to bathe with warm water 2 to 3 times a day to keep the skin clean, and apply prickly heat powder after bathing;

(4) If your child has prickly heat, do not apply ointments or oil preparations;

(5) Do not squeeze or scratch the affected area with your hands;

(6) Avoid strong sunlight;

(7) If large-scale prickly heat occurs, go to the hospital for treatment immediately.

Tip: Do not use cold water to bathe your child after coming back from outside, because once the cold water is poured on, the previously open sweat pores will suddenly close and sweat will be retained, which can easily cause prickly heat or aggravate the condition.

Home treatment for prickly heat:

1. Fresh figs treat prickly heat: Add 5 fresh fig leaves to 750 ml of water, boil for 20 minutes, and when it is warm (37-40 degrees), use a towel dipped in the medicine to apply warm compress to the affected area. After it cools down, add appropriate amount of hot water and use it for bathing. Generally used for 2-3 days.

2. Bitter melon treats prickly heat: The simplest way is to mash the bitter melon, extract the juice, and apply it directly to the affected area. The old Chinese doctor chooses a ripe bitter gourd, takes out some of the pulp, and pours in 50 grams of the traditional Chinese medicine borax. When the borax melts, water will flow out. Applying this water to the affected area has excellent results.

3. Ginger juice treats prickly heat: Rubbing your body with fresh ginger slices can prevent and treat prickly heat. If you already have prickly heat, apply fresh ginger slices directly to the affected area. It will subside and disappear after a few hours.

4. Purslane treats prickly heat: Use water boiled with purslane to scrub the prickly heat, once in the morning and once in the evening. After wiping three to four times, the prickly heat will generally disappear.

5. Use watermelon peel to treat prickly heat: Wipe the affected area with watermelon peel until it turns slightly red. Wipe 2 to 3 times a day. It will usually take effect on the second day and will form a scab after 2 days.

6. Use raw cucumber juice to treat prickly heat: Apply raw cucumber juice or cucumber slices to the affected area. It can usually heal in 2 to 3 times.

7. Boil water with mixed medicines: 12 grams each of Xanthium sibiricum, alum and Purslane. Add 200 ml of water and boil for 20 minutes. After it is warm, wash the affected area for 5-10 minutes each time, once in the morning and once in the evening.
