What to do if the anus hurts after defecation

There is a burning pain in the anus after defecation. There are many reasons for it, including constipation due to poor diet, too spicy food, etc. Of course, we should also be alert to disease-related causes. The most common ones are perianal inflammation or anal fissure, which often cause this kind of severe pain. At this time, we must clean it in time after defecation to avoid infection. We can use 1:5000 potassium permanganate for cleaning.

What to do if the anus hurts after defecation

1. It is generally better for patients with perianal inflammation to eat liquid food on the first day after surgery, and normal food can be eaten on the 2nd to 3rd day. In order to maintain smooth bowel movements and nutritional compensation, patients with perianal inflammation can be guided to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, such as bananas, spinach, fish soup and other easily digestible and low-fat foods, but not to have a full meal, and patients are encouraged to defecate on time. 2. Patients with perianal inflammation should try to avoid defecation within 3 days after surgery, which is conducive to the healing of perianal inflammation after surgery. Pay close attention to whether you have difficulty defecating during bowel movements. If you have difficulty defecating, seek medical attention in a timely manner. Pay attention to whether there are symptoms such as smaller stools or fecal incontinence. If so, you should tell your doctor. Don't hold your bowel movements. After defecation or before changing the dressing, take a warm water sitz bath with the medicine prescribed by the doctor to prevent infection.

3. For patients with perianal inflammation who have hanging stitches after surgery, if the hanging stitches do not fall off 7-9 days after surgery, they should be replaced and hung again. It is best to remove the stitches after 5-7 days of suture. Also, attention should be paid to maintaining unobstructed drainage of the wound and stuffing with Vaseline gauze or medicine strips. The strips should be close to the wound, and the inner opening should be in place so that the granulation tissue on the wound can grow best from bottom to top and from inside to outside. This will avoid bridge healing and achieve the best surgical effect. 4. When perianal inflammation causes fever, if you cannot go to the hospital for treatment in time, you can have antipyretics at home, such as paracetamol, Isatis root granules, etc., which can be taken orally according to the instructions. At the same time, drink more boiled water and soup, preferably kelp soup, winter melon soup, cucumber soup, etc. You can also use mung beans to make mung bean porridge. Patients with perianal inflammation should pay attention to rest and avoid strenuous activities and physical labor.

Perianal inflammation symptoms

First, it is easy to cause anemia: the normal hemoglobin level is: 120-160 g/L for men; 110-150 g/L for women; 130-150 g/L for children. If a man's hemoglobin is less than 120 g/L, or a woman's hemoglobin is less than 110 g/L, it means they are anemic. Patients with hemorrhoidal fistulas whose main symptom is blood in stool often develop anemia. If they do not receive timely treatment, as the amount of blood loss increases, they will become pale, weak, dizzy, weak, have memory loss, and even have blurred vision and tinnitus. Suddenly standing up after sitting or squatting for a long time may lead to collapse or fainting. In severe cases, there is a decrease in appetite, abdominal distension and lower abdominal edema.

Second, it is easy to cause skin eczema: due to the prolapse of hemorrhoids and the relaxation of the sphincter, mucus flows out of the anus to irritate the surrounding skin, which can easily lead to itching and skin eczema

Third, it is easy to cause anal dysfunction: due to anal infection, anal nodules, anal sinusitis, anal fissures, anal fistulas, anal abscesses, hemorrhoids, etc., repeated attacks, if not treated for a long time, on the one hand, lead to anal contracture and difficulty in defecation; on the other hand, it invades the sphincter, which can easily lead to anal incontinence.

Fourth, it is easy to cause sepsis, toxemia, septicemia, anal abscess, and anal infection. Once fissures, hemorrhoids, etc. cause bleeding, bacteria, toxins, and pus clots can easily invade the blood and cause sepsis, toxemia, and septicemia.
