The efficacy of Danshen and Ophiopogon japonicus soaking water

Nowadays, traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods are very popular among people. For example, soaking Salvia miltiorrhiza and Ophiopogon japonicus in water can have a health-preserving effect and has many nourishing effects on the internal organs of the body.

Medicinal properties

1. The rhizome of this product is short and thick, and the stem base sometimes remains at the top. There are several roots, which are long cylindrical and slightly curved. Some are branched and have whisker-like fine roots, 10 to 20 cm long and 0.3 to 1 cm in diameter. The surface is brownish red or dark brownish red, rough, and has longitudinal wrinkles. The bark of old roots is loose, mostly purple-brown, and often peels off in scales. It is hard and brittle, with a loose cross section with cracks or slightly flat and dense. The bark is brown-red, the wood is gray-yellow or purple-brown, and the vascular bundles are yellow-white and arranged radially. Slight smell, slightly bitter taste.

2. The cultivated product is relatively sturdy, with a diameter of 0.5 to 1.5 cm. The surface is reddish brown with longitudinal wrinkles, and the outer skin is tightly attached and not easy to peel off. The texture is solid, the cross section is relatively flat and slightly horny.

1. Salvia miltiorrhiza: thick slices in a round or oval shape. The outer skin is brownish red or dark brownish red, rough, and has longitudinal wrinkles. The cut surface has cracks or is slightly flat and dense, some are horny, the cortex is brown-red, the wood is gray-yellow or purple-brown, with yellow-white radial texture. Slight smell, slightly bitter taste.

Treat irregular menstruation in women, either before or after delivery, more or less, restless fetus before delivery, bad blood after delivery, and also treat cold or hot miscarriage and bleeding: 12 liang of Salvia miltiorrhiza, 5 liters of wine, boil and take 3 liters, take 1 liter warm, three times a day. 4. Use hot oil to burn, relieve pain and regenerate tissue: grind 8 liang of Salvia miltiorrhiza, add a little water, take 2 jin of mutton fat, boil it three times up and three times down, and apply it on the sore. (Behind the Elbow)

It is used for chest pain, heart pain, epigastric and flank pain, accumulation of masses, pain due to heat, restlessness and insomnia, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, and swelling and pain of sores.
