Elbow hurts all the time

Elbow hurts all the time

The human arm is mainly composed of the upper arm and the lower arm, so there is a joint at the connection between the upper arm and the lower arm, which is called the elbow. Everyone knows that the tissues connecting joints are mainly soft tissues, and these soft tissues are easily injured by external forces. So some people have accidentally hit their elbows and have been in pain, so why do they keep hurting when their fingers are hit?

Soft tissue injury refers to a large category of trauma syndromes caused by direct or indirect violence, or long-term chronic strain on soft tissue or skeletal muscles. After the tissue is injured, microcirculation disorders and aseptic inflammation occur, causing local swelling and pain.

Causes

Soft tissue injuries include knife and gun injuries, falls, beatings, contusions, puncture wounds, abrasions, sports injuries, etc. The injuries often cause pain, swelling, bleeding, or fractures, dislocations, etc. In a broad sense, it also includes some internal organ injuries.

Clinical manifestations

The main symptoms are swelling and pain in the affected area. In the acute phase, there is local bleeding, edema and severe pain. In the late stage, adhesions of muscles and tendons, ischemic contracture, periarthritis, and even joint stiffness may occur.

1. Sprain refers to indirect violence that causes excessive twisting and stretching of the fascia, muscles, and ligaments around the limbs and joints, resulting in injury or tearing. It often occurs in joints and the tissues around joints.

2. Contusion refers to a direct violent blow or collision to a part of the limb, causing damage to the subcutaneous tissue, muscles, tendons, etc. Mainly focus on the directly damaged areas. Sprains can occur in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, wrists, knees, ankles, waist and other parts of the body. Among them, lumbar sprain is the most common, and is more common in young and middle-aged people.
