The reproductive technology of in vitro fertilization is becoming more and more advanced, so many women with fertility difficulties choose to have in vitro fertilization. Before doing IVF, there is a long preparation process, which requires many examinations on the woman's body, and the removal of eggs and sperm from the woman's body to combine into a fertilized egg. Imaging is also a technology that needs to be done before IVF. So for IVF, is it more painful to retrieve the egg or to have the angiography done? The initial physical examination is very important in the whole process of IVF. Blood tests, B-ultrasound, puncture and angiography are all necessary. If all are normal, the next steps are contraception, sperm collection, ovulation induction, egg retrieval, and finally implantation into the body for conception, which usually takes about 3 months. Egg retrieval is not painful and can be done under anesthesia. It was a little painful during the angiography and puncture, but I thought I should be able to bear it for the sake of my baby. Dangers of egg retrieval ① Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. It is a common complication after egg retrieval surgery. Because a large amount of gonadotropin is used before trepanation for egg retrieval, the ovaries increase in size, the interstitial edema occurs, and multiple developing follicles and corpus luteum cysts appear. Because the medication increases vascular permeability, fluid can penetrate into the abdominal cavity through the blood vessels, causing mild symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In severe cases, ascites, pleural effusion, and even thrombosis may occur. Sometimes the rupture of large follicles causes internal bleeding, leading to acute abdominal shock. Generally, people who are thin, under 30 years old, and have more than 20 eggs retrieved are very likely to develop ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. ② Menstrual disorders, even amenorrhea. Women's normal menstrual cycle is regulated by the hypothalamus-pituitary-uterine-ovarian axis. The abuse of ovulation-stimulating drugs will disrupt the regulation of the menstrual cycle, leading to menstrual disorders or even amenorrhea, thereby causing premature aging. 2. Drilling for egg retrieval causes great harm to the body Egg retrieval is an egg retrieval surgery in which a puncture needle is inserted through the vagina into the ovary to retrieve the egg. After the egg is retrieved, artificial methods are used to fertilize the egg and sperm in vitro, and early embryonic development is carried out before the egg is implanted into the woman's body. There is a risk of multiple complications during egg retrieval surgery, which may be fatal in severe cases. Generally, before egg retrieval, hormones must be used to stimulate the egg donor to ovulate more, and then an intravaginal probe is used, which will destroy the hymen. Although there are other egg collection methods that can avoid such incidents, they will leave indelible scars on the body after the operation. In addition, some egg intermediaries perform surgery on egg donors privately. The operation is not formal and the venue does not meet the requirements. This may lead to serious complications such as heavy bleeding and infection, which may be life-threatening in severe cases. |
