Causes of Breast Cysts

1. The direct reason is improper breastfeeding posture, which will cause milk to stagnate in the duct, making it easy for the duct to expand and form cysts, bacteria to invade, and secondary infection will occur, leading to acute mastitis or breast cysts.

Suffering from related diseases, such as breast hyperplasia, inflammation or tumor compression during lactation, it may cause blockage of one lobe or lobule duct of the breast, causing milk to accumulate in the duct and form a cyst. In the early stage, the cyst contains thin milk. Later, due to the long-term presence of the cyst, the water in the milk is absorbed and the milk is concentrated into a milky white viscous substance, such as condensed milk. Due to breast cysts, sometimes curds may appear, or even become solid like powdered milk. During lactation, the mammary glands swell and the lumps are difficult to detect. They can only be clearly found after weaning.

3. In addition, the reason for breast cysts is that some women suffer from endocrine disorders, autonomic nervous system disorders, poor sleep, and bad temper due to work pressure, family marriage and other mental factors, which can also cause breast cysts.

4. Poor milk discharge. During lactation, the milk from one lobe of the gland is not discharged smoothly, causing milk to accumulate in the breast. The main clinical manifestation is a tumor in the breast, which is often misdiagnosed as a breast tumor. Further examination should be done to make a correct diagnosis.
