Eight common diseases can be cured by pressing these spots!

Traditional Chinese medicine acupoint treatment has had miraculous effects for thousands of years. Mastering some simple acupoint treatment methods in our lives can be of great help to the body. Here are a few brief introductions to you!

1. Treat shock by pinching the Ren Zhong point

Stimulating the Ren Zhong point can increase blood pressure and excite the respiratory center. When a person suddenly becomes unconscious, stops breathing, has low blood pressure, or experiences shock due to a stroke, heatstroke, poisoning, or allergy, pinching the patient's Ren Zhong point with the tip of your thumb can provide first aid.

The Ren Zhong point is located at the midpoint of the nasolabial groove of the human body and is an important first aid point. It is mainly used to treat epilepsy, coma due to stroke, convulsions in children, facial swelling, and pain in the waist and back.

We often say "pinch the Ren Zhong point", and this phrase is most often used when someone faints. Of course, pinching the Ren Zhong point is only a simple emergency first aid measure. You should also contact the hospital in time for further rescue to avoid delaying the disease.

2. Stop nosebleeds by pinching the heels

When your nose is bleeding, immediately pinch your heel (the depression between the ankle joint and heel bone) with your thumb and index finger. If your left nose is bleeding, pinch the right heel, and if your right nose is bleeding, pinch the left heel. The nosebleed can stop in about 3 minutes.

3. Stop coughing by pressing Shaoshang acupoint

Shaoshang point is located on the outer side of the thumb, 1 cm away from the corner of the nail. When the cough persists, you can press the Shaoshang point tightly with your thumb and index finger until you feel soreness, which can stop the cough.

In addition to massage, there is another way to stimulate Shaoshang acupoint, which is bloodletting therapy. Shaoshang is a well point, and bloodletting here can relieve throat pain. This is because the lungs are afraid of heat and like coolness. Bleeding at Shaoshang is equivalent to drawing out the hot qi and blood from the lungs, returning the lungs to a cool and refreshing state. When pricking blood, first disinfect the needle and skin with alcohol, then pinch a little bit of skin at Shaoshang, quickly prick the skin twice with the needle, squeeze out three to five drops of blood at the same time, then quickly press lightly with a cotton swab to stop the bleeding.

One of the diseases that Shaoshang acupoint is best at treating is cough. In autumn, many people will cough from time to time. In severe cases, they may even cough up blood and get a headache. At this time, Shaoshang point on the thumb is a special point for relieving cough.

4. Treat constipation by pressing Tianshu acupoint

When constipation patients defecate, press the Tianshu point on the left side (located 2 inches to the left of the navel) with the middle finger of the left hand. Press and hold it for about 1 minute until they feel the need to defecate. Then hold your breath to increase the intra-abdominal pressure, and you will be able to defecate shortly.

Tianshu point is mainly used to treat gastrointestinal diseases. The main diseases treated are: constipation, abdominal distension, diarrhea, pain around the umbilicus, ascites, intestinal paralysis, indigestion, nausea and vomiting, etc.

Tianshu is the gathering point of the large intestine, from which the Yangming meridian Qi originates. It regulates the intestines and viscera, regulates Qi and removes stagnation, and helps digestion. It is an important point in the abdomen. A large number of experiments and clinical verifications have shown that acupuncture or moxibustion at the Tianshu point has significant effects on improving intestinal function and eliminating or alleviating various symptoms caused by intestinal dysfunction.

5. Press Laogong acupoint to lower blood pressure

When a patient with hypertension is angry, furious, excited or tired, his blood pressure may rise sharply. At this time, pressing the Laogong point (in the center of the palm between the middle finger and ring finger) can gradually restore blood pressure to normal.

The Laogong point belongs to the fire element in the five elements. It has the effect of clearing heart fire and calming the mind.

Make a fist, and the point where the middle finger points is the Laogong point. When the blood pressure of hypertensive patients rises sharply due to anger, rage or excitement, they can press the Laogong point. Use the thumb to start pressing the Laogong point of the other hand, and press each fingertip one by one, alternating between the left and right hands. Keep calm and breathe evenly while pressing. The sudden increase in blood pressure can be relieved after compression.

6. Press the temples to stop headaches

When a headache occurs, the patient can use the index fingers of both hands to press the temples on both sides of the head (the depression one inch back from the middle of the eyebrow and the outer corner of the eye), press until it feels swollen and painful, and rotate clockwise for about 1 minute. This will relieve the headache.

The temple is an important acupuncture point on the human head. When people use their brains for a long time, they often feel heavy pressure or swelling in the temples. This is a signal of brain fatigue. At this time, massaging the temples can give the brain a benign stimulation, relieve fatigue, invigorate the spirit, relieve pain and refresh the brain, and continue to maintain concentration.

The temple is called the "extraordinary meridian point" in traditional Chinese medicine, and is also one of the earliest "death points" listed as a vital part in various martial arts boxing manuals. Modern medicine has proven that a blow to the temple can kill a person or cause a concussion that causes loss of consciousness. The main diseases treated by the temples are: headaches, migraines, eyestrain, toothaches and other diseases.

7. To relieve stomach pain, massage Zusanli acupoint

When you have stomachache, you can use your thumbs to massage the Zusanli acupoints on both legs (three inches below the outer kneecap, one horizontal finger away from the outer side of the tibia). Wait for 3-5 minutes until you feel soreness, numbness and swelling. The stomachache will be significantly relieved.

Zusanli is a major acupoint that can prevent and treat many diseases and strengthen the body and mind. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that massaging Zusanli can regulate the body's immunity, enhance disease resistance, regulate the spleen and stomach, replenish qi, dredge meridians and activate collaterals, dispel wind and dampness, and strengthen the body and eliminate evil.

8. Stop vomiting by pressing the Neiguan point

When vomiting, you can use your middle finger to press Neiguan (two inches above the transverse wrist line on the palm, between the two tendons) to stop vomiting. If you feel a sore and swollen sensation when pressing the acupoint, it means you have pressed the right acupoint. After 2 minutes, nausea and vomiting will be relieved.

Neiguan acupoint has the effects of dredging dampness, calming the mind, regulating qi and relieving pain. It is mainly used to treat heart pain, palpitations, chest tightness and shortness of breath, hiccups, stomach pain, insomnia, morning sickness, motion sickness, arm pain, headache, bloodshot eyes, nausea and vomiting, chest and rib pain, upper abdominal pain, angina pectoris, menstrual pain, diarrhea, mental abnormalities, etc.
