What causes itchy nipples?

What causes itchy nipples?

There are many causes of nipple itching, mainly due to friction from underwear and unhygienic conditions. It may also be caused by bacterial eczema and skin diseases, so female friends should pay attention to the causes of nipple itching. Generally, nipple itching manifests as redness, swelling and itching, which is caused by bacterial infection, so you need to clean and disinfect the nipples and change your underwear.

Why are nipples itchy?

Many women experience itchy nipples occasionally. In fact, the causes of nipple itching include: bacterial itching caused by nipple development; itching caused by using poorly made shower gels, soaps and underwear; itching caused by breast swelling in late pregnancy; excessive cleaning of the nipples leading to damage to the nipple oil layer; and some itching caused by diseases such as breast cancer.

1. The breasts of adolescent women begin to develop rapidly. Of course, the nipples also grow quickly. At this time, attention must be paid to local hygiene. Because of rapid development, secretions increase, providing conditions for the growth of various bacteria. If you do not pay attention to local hygiene and use poor quality shower gels, soaps and bra fabrics, etc., it may cause dryness and peeling, making it inevitable that nipples will become itchy and unbearable. It is recommended to wash the breasts and nipples every night with warm water and a mild, high-quality soap. If the problem still doesn't go away, then you should see a gynecologist.

2. Nipple itching in the late pregnancy is a normal reaction to pregnancy. As time goes by, the milk foam and nipples will grow bigger. You are about to become a mother, which proves that your milk will be able to feed your baby well. At present, you should rub it frequently with a hot towel to remove the white stuff. It is normal. Just wait to become a mother.

3. For women with large breasts, eczema may sometimes occur due to friction in the nipple area caused by the material of the underwear or exercise. Breast (scalp) eczema is a common skin disease: this disease is more common in lactating women, but can also occur in young girls. The patient's nipples, areolas and their surrounding areas are covered with needle-sized papules and boils with clear boundaries, often accompanied by exudation and erosion. There are also a few scales or scabs, and the patient feels itchy. Pain may occur when the erosion and rupture occur. The cause of breast (head) eczema is complex and is generally believed to be related to allergic reactions. This reaction may be related to genetics, and fatigue and mental factors may also be triggers. To treat this disease, suspected allergic factors should be eliminated, and foreign proteins such as fish and shrimp and irritating foods such as alcohol and chili peppers should not be eaten; avoid severe scratching and scalding with hot water, and keep the area clean; do not wear bras made of chemical fiber fabrics, and apply corticosteroid ointment under the guidance of a doctor. ...
