Where is the coronary sulcus of the heart?

The heart is a very, very important part of our human body, because every beat of the heart means that our life is continuing. If one day the heart stops beating, it will be very dangerous. Therefore, in daily life, people should learn to protect their heart health and avoid all heart diseases. So, where is the coronary sulcus of the heart?

The coronary sulcus is a groove at the base of the heart. There is a shallow longitudinal groove in the front and back (lower) of the ventricle, extending from the coronary sulcus to the slightly right of the apex, called the anterior and posterior interventricular grooves, respectively, which are the surface boundaries of the left and right ventricles.

The normal positional relationship between the left atrium, left ventricle and the right atrium, right ventricle shows a slight right-to-left twist, that is, the right heart is biased to the upper right front and the left heart is biased to the lower left back.

Heart care

Control your weight. Studies have shown that a 10% increase in body weight will lead to an average 18.5% increase in cholesterol and a 38% increase in the risk of coronary heart disease; a 20% increase in body weight will lead to an 86% increase in the risk of coronary heart disease. The prevalence of coronary heart disease in hypertensive patients with diabetes is twice that in hypertensive patients without diabetes.

Quit smoking. The nicotine in tobacco can increase the heart rate, raise blood pressure (excessive smoking can lower blood pressure), increase cardiac oxygen consumption, cause vasospasm, abnormal blood flow, and increase platelet adhesion. These adverse effects make the incidence of coronary heart disease in male smokers aged 30-49 three times higher than that of non-smokers, and smoking is also an important cause of angina attacks and sudden death.

Quit drinking. An experiment conducted by American scientists confirmed that ethanol is toxic to the heart. Excessive ethanol intake can reduce the contractile ability of the myocardium. For people with heart disease, excessive drinking will not only increase the burden on the heart, but may even cause arrhythmia, affect fat metabolism, and promote the formation of arteriosclerosis.

Improve living environment. Places with severe pollution and high noise levels may induce heart disease. Therefore, improve the living environment, expand the green area, reduce noise and prevent various pollution.

Avoid crowds. Avoid crowded places. Whether it is viral myocarditis, dilated cardiomyopathy, coronary heart disease, or rheumatic heart disease, they are all related to viral infection. Even heart failure is often caused by acute exacerbation due to upper respiratory tract infection. Therefore, be careful to avoid going to crowded places, especially during the cold season, to avoid infection.

Eat a balanced diet. There should be reasonable dietary arrangements. Hyperlipidemia, unbalanced diet, diabetes and obesity are all related to dietary nutrition. Therefore, nutritional factors are very important from the perspective of preventing and treating heart disease. In principle, the "three lows" should be achieved, namely: low calories, low fat and low cholesterol.

Get moderate exercise. Actively participate in moderate physical exercise. Maintaining regular and appropriate exercise is beneficial to enhancing heart function and promoting normal metabolism of the body. It is especially important for promoting fat metabolism and preventing the occurrence of atherosclerosis. For patients with heart disease, they should engage in appropriate amounts of physical activity based on their heart function and physical condition to help improve blood circulation, enhance resistance, improve the function of organs throughout the body, and prevent thrombosis. However, overly strenuous activities should be avoided, and the amount of activity should be increased gradually without causing symptoms.
